Y/N'S POV:

"So does anyone want to explain to me what just happened?" Asked a wide eyed Neville. "I honestly don't know myself," I sighed. "Tom is so bipolar." "Bipolar? Y/n, are you that dimwitted? He's just trying to get you to fall for him clearly, he knows he's got you wrapped around his finger already but he wants you to stay there," Draco explained.

"I can't believe I have to be stuck here with him for a couple of days, alone," I looked down at the white snow under my feet. "Yeah me either, just owl us if anything happens okay?" Draco said, looking out into the courtyard full of students. "Okay," I said as I kicked up some snow.

A couple weeks had passed and it was finally winter break, I just wanted to get these couple of days over with and then I can finally go home.

I sat on my bed, tired from the past months as it just seemed to be work upon work as I was wanted by Dumbledore multiple times for head girl tasks.

I sighed as I left my dorm and walked into the common room to see Draco there reading.

"Hey Draco," I smiled as I sat down next to him. "Hey y/n," He looked up at me from his book and smiled back. "When are you leaving?" I asked. "In a few, Snape is my 'care taker' for some absurd reason so he'll come and get me when need be," Draco sighed, marking his place in his book and closing it. "Oh," I said quietly.

"Don't be so down princess, I'm sure you'll be okay, just try to avoid Riddle," Draco said, lifting my chin. I smiled, taking in his affection.

Soon enough Snape came in the common room, telling Draco it was time to go. "I'll see you soon, owl me okay?" Draco said as we both stood up. "Okay," I nodded. He then hugged me, I hugged back, resting my head on his chest as he was much taller than me. "We don't have all day now," Snape groaned.

Me and Draco rolled our eyes and laughed as we let go of the hug. "Bye y/n/n," Draco smiled as he started to walk towards Snape. "Bye Draco," I smiled back, sitting back on the couch. Neville had already left, along with everyone else in my house. I didn't know where Tom was, I didn't want to know either.

Draco and Snape were gone from the common room, I was now all alone, I hated the feeling, so so much.

I then decided to read a book to keep my mind off of things, it was almost dinner time as it was 6:32, but I wanted a moment to myself before I would most likely deal with Tom at dinner. Although he said he wouldn't talk to me, I knew that was unlikely.

I walked over to one of the many bookshelves full of multiple kinds of books, i traced my fingers against the spines until i found one that peaked my interest. i then began to read, getting lost in the pages.

Dinner soon arrived, I headed out of my common room and to the great hall where I saw some people from Gryffindor and Ravenclaw sitting at their individual tables. The whole Hufflepuff table was empty, along with my own, besides me and Tom of course.

I then sat down, waiting for Dumbledore to make any announcements, he wasn't here yet so I just fidgeted with my rings on my fingers until I felt someone sit next to me.

I looked to my right to see Seamus Finnigan smiling at me. "Hey Seamus," I said, still messing with my rings. "Hey y/n," He said. "What are you doing at the Slytherin table? You know if Dumbledore comes through those doors you'll be in deep shit," I laughed which caused him to laugh as well. "Eh, I don't really care. Anyways, I came over here to ask you something," He said. "Alright, ask away," I smiled.

"Are you and Riddle together?" He then asked, my eyes widened, getting caught off guard. "No, of course not Seamus! Why would you think such a thing?" I asked, almost sounding frantic. "Well, he did kiss you at breakfast that one time, and then in the courtyard, um," He looked too embarrassed to say the rest, but I knew what he was talking about right away.

"Oh merlin, no, you better keep this a secret, but he's just doing it to mess with Draco 'cause Draco fancies me," I lowered my voice so no one could hear. Seamus' eyes went wide. "Wait, really? I knew it!" Seamus laughed. "Shh! Keep it down Finnigan!" I whisper yelled and hit him. "And what do you mean you knew it?" "Just the way he looks at you, merlin, anyone could tell he fancies you," Seamus said a bit quieter than before. I rolled my eyes.

"Well, better get back to your table before Dumbledore comes and hexes you and blames it on another student Finnigan," I joked. "Yeah yeah whatever, see you around y/l/n," He rolled his eyes and laughed as he walked to his table.

I laughed to myself as I looked in front of me to see Tom, I rolled my eyes, what could he possibly want now?

"Riddle," I said calmly. "What were you and Finnigan talking about?" Tom asked. "Nothing in particular, why do you ask?" I looked at him. "Don't lie to me y/l/n, I can see right through you," Tom stared at me, I studied his facial features, why was he so attractive? "He thought me and you were together, so I cleared it up and said we weren't because we're not," I said, Tom then shifted in his seat, his hands on the table moving and holding each other. Why were his hands also so attractive?

"Hm," Tom hummed, still staring at me. "I thought I told you to stop staring at me," I told him, looking around, when was Dumbledore going to be here? "Well that was around three months ago, and like I've told you, I do what I want," Tom said, eyeing me. "Yeah yeah, I didn't forget," I rolled my eyes. Right as he was about to say something else, Dumbledore walked into the great hall.

"Sorry I'm late everyone, I had a meeting with the professors and it took longer than expected. Let the feast begin," Dumbledore smiled as food appeared on the tables.
