Y/N'S POV:

"Y/n," I heard someone say as they shook me awake rather roughly. "Hm," I hummed. "Get up and get ready, we have to go soon," It was Tom, I quickly jumped away from him. I had given Seamus his jumper back after dinner last night so now my hickeys were visible which caused Tom to smirk.

"Okay," I said, waiting for him to leave but he just stood there, staring at me. "I said okay, can you leave now? I need to shower." "May I shower with you?" His smirk grew as my eyes widened. "N-No! That's absurd, I'll be out in a bit, ta-ta," I waved him off.

He finally left and I got up from my bed, why was he acting like this? I walked over to my trunk and grabbed my clothes I had set out yesterday, but I had put the green sweater back and grabbed a dark green turtleneck, hiding these hickeys from my parents were definitely going to be a pain in the ass.

After I showered I got dressed and brushed my teeth and hair like normal. I checked myself out in the mirror to make sure I looked okay, which I did, I looked brilliant in fact.

I then exited the bathroom put on some knee high black boots and went down to the common room and saw Tom sitting on the couch reading. "What are you doing? Breakfast is about to start," I said as I approached him. He looked up at me and smiled, he never smiles, what the fuck? "Oh, I know, I was just waiting for you," He kept the smile on his face as he stood up. "Waiting for me? Last time I checked you didn't want to be seen with me," I scoffed as I crossed my arms.

"I never said such a thing," He lied, he knew he was too. "Sure," I said sarcastically. "Now shall we go to breakfast? We wouldn't want to be late now would we?" He asked, putting his hand out. I hesitantly took his hand in mine and we walked out of the common room.

I have wanted to hold his hand for a while now, it was much larger than mine, but it seemed like our hands fit perfectly together. His cold rings touched mine, making it hard to keep our fingers intertwined.

We eventually reached the great hall and everyone stared at us, I started to feel uncomfortable until Seamus came up to us, which caused Tom to roll his eyes. "Uh hey y/n," He smiled awkwardly. "Hey Seamus, wanna come sit with me-," "Us," Tom interrupted me. "Us," I corrected myself slowly. "Um, not today, I know it's your last day and I'm really sorry but Dean wanted to talk to me," Seamus frowned, nodding towards the darker skinned boy at the Gryffindor table. "Oh, it's okay, I'll see you after breakfast okay?" I smiled at him. "Okay, see you then y/n," He smiled back and went over to his table and sat next to Dean Thomas.

I then watched Seamus and Dean leave the great hall as me and Tom walked to the Slytherin table. "What are you doing?" I asked Tom as he sat down next to me. "What does it look like I'm doing?" He rolled his eyes. "You never sit by me, nor do you ever want to be seen with me, and would you like to explain what happened last night?" I asked, eyeing him. "I-," "Good morning everybody," Dumbledore interrupted Tom in which he scoffed in annoyance.

After breakfast me and Tom were walking back to our common room to gather our things but someone pulled me to the side, it was Seamus. "Y/n, I have to tell you something," He said, looking shocked. "Okay, what is it?" I asked curiously. "Not here, not now, and not in front of him," Seamus whispered, motioning towards Tom who was leaning against a wall across the hall waiting for our conversation to be done. "Okay, just give me one moment," I said, walking towards Tom.

"Seamus needs to talk to me about something important, I'll be in the common room in a few," I said, in which Tom just nodded and started walking down the corridor.

"Okay, what is it?" I asked. "Follow me," He said, grabbing my hand and leading me to another corridor. "Seamus is it really that ser-," "Dean asked me out," Seamus cut me off, my eyes went wide. "He what? Really?" I asked in shock. "Yeah, he told me he's had feelings for me for a while now and he had to come clean," Seamus blushed, rubbing the back of his neck.

"Well?" I eyed him. "Well what?" He asked. "Did you say yes?" I asked. "Of course I said yes! I'm not a lunatic y/n," Seamus rolled his eyes in a playful manner. "Neville owes me ten galleons!" I exclaimed. "You guys were betting on us?" Seamus asked with wide eyes. "Uh yeah, we made the bet in like third year though, but I think he totally forgot about it, I had a suspicion that you and Dean fancied each other and he agreed, so I betted on Dean asking you out and Neville betted on you asking Dean out," I explained in which he just laughed hysterically.

"What did Finnigan have to tell you?" Tom looked up at me from his book as I entered the common room after me and Seamus' conversation. "Oh it wasn't anything really," I lied, I knew Tom could tell I wasn't telling the truth. "Stop lying," He said, walking up to me. "He was just telling me about his love life, is it really that important to you?" I asked as I rolled my eyes. "I don't care about Finnigan's love life, or his life at all, but did he tell you he fancies you? Is that what he said?" Tom asked as he approached me.

"Merlin, no! Stop assuming every guy I talk to fancies me," I scoffed, looking at Tom. "How am I not supposed to assume? Especially with what you wear, you never know what's going on in people's minds," Tom crossed his arms. "It's not my fault boys don't know how to keep it in their pants, I should wear what I want without being worried about it," I said as I tried to go to my dorm but Tom grabbed my arm.

"You're right," He breathed. "What?" I asked, genuinely confused. He's never admitted that I was right before, or that anyone was in fact. "I said you're right, boys shouldn't think that they can do whatever they want to you depending on what you wear," He said, looking into my eyes. "But it is quite distracting." I knew he wasn't actually serious about this whole situation. "You're such a douche," I scoffed, yanking my arm out of his grip and walking to my dorm, closing the door, sliding down it and bringing my knees up to my chest.

That's when I broke down. I started sobbing, trying to keep quiet as I didn't want Tom to know. I didn't know why I was crying exactly, Tom really pushed me over the edge, something about him just makes me more sensitive than I already am, he enraged me completely, these weren't tears of sadness, they were tears of pure anger.

I was hyperventilating from how hard I was crying, I could barely breathe, but I then remembered the breathing exercises Draco had taught me the last time I was having a breakdown. Breathe in for three, breathe out for five I remembered. I then started doing the exercise, my breathing becoming normal again almost right away.

I then stood up, gathering my things and making sure everything was in my trunk. I went into the bathroom to clean up my face as I looked a mess.

I grabbed my coat and scarf, wrapping the cloth around my neck that was already covered. I took my wand out, using a levitating spell on my trunk as it was too heavy to carry.

I exited my dorm, my trunk followed behind me as I walked down the steps and into the common room to see Tom waiting for me. "Are you finally ready? Or do you need to cry some more?" He said in a sarcastic tone. I rolled my eyes, I'd rather cry when I get to my house. "Shut your trap, let's go," I said, opening the common room door and exiting with him behind me.
