Lilac's POV

I strolled through the gates anxiously.

To others, it may look like I am in a normal mood, but over the years, I have learned to mask my emotions from others.

I rounded around the side of a cabin and stopped in front of another. I stood there just staring at the cabin, not quite sure of my next actions.

They were very big cabins, they could house what looked like 10 people in each. I wasn't sure if I should just go in. What would I say? 'Hay everyone, i'm a rogue as well, what's next?' Yeah right.

"Hey." A smooth voice said, making me jump. I looked to my right where the voice had come from, and saw another female leaning on a bit of the cabin.

She had ink black hair that sprayed around her with the wind. Her lips were the colour of blood, which were bright against her extremely pale face. Her right eye was an amazing swamp brown, that got greener as you looked closer towards her pupil. Though her left eye made me suck in a sharp breath. It looked like a blood red eye with a white pupil...she had an eye of a vampire.

"Who are you." She demanded.

"Uhm, I, uhm, I'm, uh...Lilac." I stuttered quietly.

The female cocked her head at me, observing me with a frown. She pushed off the wall and started creeping forward in a silent way. She then stopped in front of me and rolled her head on her shoulders, all the while keeping eye contact with me. I jumped when her head suddenly swooped in towards mine, inches from my face, she did the last thing that I expected her to... She sniffed. Her head pulled back and she wrinkled her nose briefly.

"You don't smell like around here...your a rogue."

My nostrils flared.

"I am not a rogue-"

"Then why are you here and not in your pack?" She said, making me purse my lips shut.

She gave me a lopsided smirk.

"I'm just riling you up Lile's." She chuckled. She took a step back and threw her hand out.

"The name is Kayla, but you can just call me Kay." She said.

I smiled and placed my hand in hers.

"Nice to meet you." I replied and coudn't help but smile warmly at her as she firmly shook my hand.

"I have to say the same thing about you Lile's, you don't mind being called that right? It's your nickname now."

"I don't mind being called that at all, Kay." I said with a grin.

Our hands dropped to our side's. I couldn't help but stare at her vampire eye. I kept staring until I realised that she was staring back at me.

"I'm so sorry." I apologised. "It's rude to stare, but I have to know, how come you have a vampire eye?" I questioned timidly.

"My mum was a vampire. My old pack killed her." Kay said. I instantly regretted asking, what was I expecting?

"I'm sorry." I apologised but Kay just waved me off.

"Don't worry about it, they killed her before I got to know her. I wasn't even one at the time, maybe a couple of hours old, but for some reason I remember her face and eyes. I turned out with one of hers, and some of the feature's of a vampire." Kay explained.

"What about your father?" I questioned.

"He's dead to." Kay sighed. "He was executed for mating with a vampire. He couldn't help it though, my mum was his mate."
