Chapter 7

Lilac's POV

The food on the table that had previously looked mouth watering, I couldn't care less about, it just tasted like cardboard in my dry mouth.

Kay kept glancing at me worriedly.

"What happened before? Are you alright?" She asked. My eye's didn't leave my plate which had pork, peas, mashed potatoes and gravy covering all which was now cold since I had just been prodding around and taking occasional nibbles of now and then.

"I'm, uh...Just don't ask, just leave me alone." I mumbled. I heard Kay sigh softly.

"Lilac, you know you can-"

"Just leave me alone!" I said loudly, making her jump. I growled in frustration and abruptly stood up running my hand through my hair. I looked up unconsciously towards the table Ralph sat on.

I remember in the hallway how he looked upon me with such sadness.

"Don't tell anyone... please." He had whispered. "At least not now, give me some time to figure this all out. I just need time. Promise me."

"I-"

"Please promise me."

Of course I promised, who wouldn't if your mate was looking through soul with his piercing gaze that was full of grief.

I looked to the far right of the table and saw the girl, Lupa, the one who was with my mate's child exiting through a door way.

I didn't have to think, just act. I picked up my sharp knife and started to leave the table.

"Lilac, Where are you going? What are you doing?" Kay called after me.

"Business." I growled in response.

Kayla's POV

I watched Lilac look at the alpha with sad eyes and what I swore was love. Her gaze then turned shot towards someone else. I followed the direction of her dark, hateful gaze, and to my surprise saw that she was watching Lupa, the alpha's mate.

I looked back at Lilac, who snatched up a sharp knife. She wouldn't...why would she if she was, what reason did she have against Lupa.

"Lilac, Where are you going? What are you doing?" I called after her.

"Business." She said in response.

I  scrambled out from my seat and ran behind her, grabbing onto her arm softly.

"Lilac, what ever you're going to do, don't do it! Just -" I started, but Lilac just yanked her arm out from my grip.

"Stay out of this Kay, it doesn't involve you." She said as she walked away.

I had to stop her, but she wouldn't listen to me! I quickly thought of Jon and Raj. They could stop her.

I ran around to the exit and found that they weren't there. I looked right. Jon? Raj? Where are you! I thought. I turned around and bashed right into Jon.

"Kayla?" He asked in a confused tone. "What are you doing out here already?"

"You have to stop her!" I told him frantically.

"Slow down, Stop who?" Jon asked.

"Lilac. I don't know what's going on, but she's going to kill Lupa!" I finished. Jon's eyes flashed.

"Arer you positive?" 

"Yes, she's got a knife!" I told him, he rushed quickly into the hall, and I raced after him.

Lilac's Pov

I followed after Lupa, my hand gripped tight around the sharp knife. She stole my mate from me, now she had to die. It was the only way that I could get Ralph. Once she was dead, he would come back to me.

Lupa rounded a corner. I followed her quietly.

This was it, she was mine now. I was about to round the corner when a strong hand grabbed my arm and pulled me back and into the wall. His hand over my mouth and elbow pressed to my shoulder. His other hand held my hand above my head, the one with the knife in it.

I struggled  and struggled.

"Please stop resisting." He said, and I realised that it was Jon. I stared at him with sad eyes, what must he think of me now? I'm caught, trying to kill Lupa, the alpha's mate. Jon will tell the others and Ralph will kick me out, and i'll never get to see him again. My eyes welled up.

"Drop it." He growled, clenching my wrist tighter. The knide slid from my hand and fell to the floor with a clatter. My head hung and I let my body go limp. I felt the presence of someone behind Jon, I looked up and saw Kay looking at me with worried eyes. My head fell again.

Jon picked my up in his strong arms.

"Is she gonna be okay?" Kay asked.

"Yeah, don't worry Lil's, I won't tell anyone, this is between you, me and Kayla."

I felt my body relax and passed out.

Yes, this was a very weak chaper and I am soooooo sorry, and I'm also sorry about the late update. I've had a broken elbow and recently got the cast off because I have to start moving it. All my tendants are all stiff and I can't even straighten my arm out yet :( or rotate my wrist up or down completely. :'(

It's annoying, + I write chapters on my phone aswell and that's recently broken, so now I gotta get a new phone and just BLAAAH!

So in conclusion, so da sorrow :( i am very very sorry for letting you guys down yet again. :(
