I'm literally so scared to write this chapter, I'm not in high school so I don't know what their parties are like at ALL. Sorry if this isn't accurate. Also, there's a small mention of teen pregnancy so if you guys don't like that just scroll past.

I rummaged through my closet, taking longer than normal to find an outfit. Wanting to impress Annabeth, I had to make sure my outfit was perfect. Throwing on a pair of jeans, a white shirt, and a leather jacket. I sprayed on cologne, brushed my hair and pulled on a pair of black sneakers. I grabbed my keys, as well as my phone. Climbing behind the wheel of my grey car, I drove to the party after inputting Percy's address into my GPS. After about 20 minutes, I reached the house, parking my car next to the curb. Maybe house was too small a word for it, it was more like a mansion.

It was 2 floors, with mini gardens, fountains, and benches scattered tastefully around the front. The fountains had a garden next to them, and they were all curved in a half circle. The fountains were lit a certain color, with the garden's flower the same color. One fountain was lit in soft pink, with pink roses in the garden next to it. Another was green, with an overflow of leafy plants in its garden.

I looked at the mansion, which was blasting music, with lights switching from blue to purple and back again. A sign was stuck on the door. It said, 'The door's unlocked, come in!' I opened the door and stepped inside, noticing that many people were inside already, dancing to the music. My eyes scanned the crowd for Annabeth, who was dancing with Piper. I pushed my way through the throng, eventually reaching her. I pretended as if I wasn't looking where I was going, accidently-on-purpose bumping into Annabeth.

"I'm sorry, I- Oh, hi Annabeth!" I said, pretending as if I didn't bump into her on purpose so she would talk to me. Piper glared at me, rolling her eyes and walking away

"Hi...Asher." She greeted me. She struggled to meet my eyes, instead choosing to focus on the drink she had in her hand. She was flustered! It was so adorable when she did that.

"So... I like your outfit." I said. I did, really. It was a pale green, long-sleeved top that hung off one shoulder. She also wore ripped jeans that she tucked her top into, paired with white sneakers.

"Oh...um...Thanks, I guess."

"How do you know Piper and everyone?" I asked, breaking the silence between us.

"Oh, we met at camp. Jason, Hazel, and Frank were from a different camp, but they....did an exchange program along with Percy."

"Wouldn't it be three from each if it was an exchange program?" I asked.

"Normally, yes, but Percy was the only one who was willing to go all the way, since the program lasted for a couple months and the camps were on opposite sides of the country."

I scoffed internally. Percy was definitely loaded if he could afford a trip to the other side of the country. Not to mention this mansion of his. Well, maybe his parents were loaded, and spent freely on him.

"I'm gonna go find Piper. Enjoy the party." Annabeth said, shaking me out of my thoughts as she walked away.

Alone now, I decided to find Percy, who was in the kitchen, refilling the chips and salsa.

"Need a hand?" I asked.

"Yeah, thanks."

As I refilled the chips, pouring them from a bag into a large bowl, Percy grabbed the salsa, walking past me to refill the other bowl.

"Nice party." I said, breaking the awkward silence.

"Oh, thanks."

"How did your parents let you invite practically the whole school?" I asked curiously.
