I Hate The Mall

I am sooo sorry. I didn't have enough time to write the story, and I was going through incredible writers block, not to mention that I was working on my other story more. But, I'm back, so enjoy!

Asher

Really? Percy? Why was he always with Annabeth? Like I knew he was her boyfriend, but she didn't have to bring him everywhere. I resisted the urge to roll my eyes at him, and settled for a small, forced smile.

"Hey guys! What's up?" Percy asked, rocking back and forth on his heels. Kayla shrugged, while Jordan immediately launched into a conversation with him about that famous camp they went too.

"And then, Travis got his hands on one of Lou Ellen's pig balls!" Jordan exclaimed, shaking with laughter.

"Dude, no way! What happened next?" Percy asked, intrigued. Pig balls? What were those? Balls shaped like pigs? Weird, is all I could say.

"He threw the ball at Lou Ellen, and-" Jordan cut off, glancing at me. I wanted to run away, feeling left out. Why couldn't I know?

"And then?" I demanded, not caring if I sounded rude.

"Nothing." Jordan said, biting their lip.

"It's always nothing with you guys, isn't it?" I muttered under my breath. It wasn't fair that Percy, a guy who we just met, was closer with Jordan than me, someone who had known Jordan all his life.

A sharp brring! jolted me out of my thoughts. I glanced at Percy, who picked up his phone. The contact read BAE <3. Why would Annabeth be calling Percy? Unless... he was cheating on her! I knew it! Percy was only using Annabeth! First, I catch him cheating at the swim team practices, and now I catch him cheating on Annabeth! This was too good.

"Hey Perce! Where are you?" A girl asked. Was that Piper? God, this just got better and better. Annabeth's friend didn't really like her, she was only friends with her because of Percy! Soon, everything would be back to normal, and it would be Kayla, Jordan, Annabeth, and me again. The Four Musketeers.

"At the mall, why?" Percy asked.

"We woke up and couldn't find you. We were worried, you know. Is you-know-who with you?" Piper asked, a slight hint of disgust in her voice.

"Ah- yeah." Percy said, looking slightly uncomfortable. He glanced in mine and Annabeth's direction. You-know-who? That had to be Annabeth. Who else would it be?

A loud crash sounded from Percy's phone "Anyways, I have to go, I think one of Leo's... things got loose, bye!" Piper yelled. Percy waved and laughed, and cut the call.

"So, are we going in, or not?" Kayla asked. I realized we were still standing outside the mall. I nodded, and we went in.

"Annabeth look! They've got cookies!" Percy exclaimed the second we entered.

"Wait where?" Kayla asked, looking around. Percy pointed. "Dude, let's go!" Kayla yelled, grabbing Percy's arm and running to the cookies. Annabeth laughed and ran after them.

"Well, I'm not gonna let them eat all of the cookies!" Jordan laughed, running after Annabeth.

I bit my lip. They looked so happy without me. It wasn't fair! I had known Annabeth, Jordan, and Kayla first. But the second they meet this new boy, I was forgotten. I knew what I had to do. Break up Percy and Annabeth, and then Jordan and Kayla wouldn't like Percy anymore. Then, it'd all go back to the way it was before. Well, with one small change. Annabeth would be on my arm instead of Percy's.

"Hey, you coming Asher?" Kayla asked. The group had abandoned the cookie stand and were a couple feet ahead of me, munching on their cookies.

"Ah- yeah, coming." I muttered, running over to them. I glanced at their large cookies, wishing I could have one too. They could've bought one for me! It wasn't that hard.
