Tubbo sank deeply into his best friends arms. It had been weeks since their meeting when he pulled Tommy from the nether if you could call that a meeting at all. They hadn't had their lazy sundays in weeks if not over a month. Tubbo missed his bestfriend, his tommy. Tubbo had burned through his candle in a matter of days and since then he had gotten multiple more candles each quickly burned through.

He pressed his forehead into Tommy's chest and breathed in the smell of lemons. His grip hardened as tears he didn't realize were collecting spilled over leaving small wet marks on Tommy's white shirt. He didn't realize he was sobbing until Tommy slowly lowered them both to the ground. The sobs shook his body which only caused him to grip harder onto the fabric of Tommy's shirt.

"Tommy," he choked out. "I don't know what to do, should I stay with Dream or should I go back to L'Manberg?"

He felt Tommy shift slightly before finally speaking although his voice was barely above a whisper. "A lot has happened in the last few weeks, before I would've said stay, stay with me, but now I want you to be happy more than anything. Go where you think you'll be happiest. Just cause where in separate nations doesn't mean we can't be best friends."

Tubbo sobbed harder. How dare Tommy be selfless after every selfish decision Tubbo has made. After Tubbo betrayed him and left him alone. "But-" Tubbo struggled.

"No Tubbo, I want you to be happy, even if you stay with Dream you're still my friend and I think the past few weeks showed me that. You saved me from the nether even though you were on Dream's side. It doesn't matter anymore, L'Manberg is getting its independence because you helped us even though you were with Dream. It's up to you, I'm not going to force you to stay in L'Manberg if you don't want to stay. All I ask is for you to continue being my best friend."

"I'd be your best friend even if you forgot about me," Tubbo replied as he pressed further into Tommy chest. "I think I know what to do now, thank you Tommy."

"Of course Tubbo, now stay with me for a bit longer we haven't had time to hang out since you left. This was meant for you it'd be a shame if you never got to enjoy it,"

Tubbo finally looked up at Tommy, he had tear tracks on his cheeks and his hair was dirty as though he hadn't showered in a few days. He still smelled like lemons, like the countless candles Tubbo bought and burned to feel closer to Tommy. Even though he had tear tracks he looked happy. The peppermint scarf was stopped wrapped around his neck and covered his mouth but Tubbo could tell he was smiling.

Tubbo finally felt at home in Tommy's arms, bees buzzed and the campfire crackled slightly and even though it was barely midday Tubbo was tired and didn't force himself to stay awake to plan. Tubbo leaned against Tommy and closed his eyes without a worry in the world.

A/N it's almost over!! We just need to wrap it up now!! If you see any grammatical errors or spelling mistakes please comment so I can fix them. As always one shot requests are open! I think I'm going to shelf the m!Tommy as I don't feel like I can portray him at my current level of writing as well as I'd like too. I'm sure I'll eventually be confident enough to write his story but until then I'm working on a smaller idea!
