Tommy was surprised when his com dinged and showed that Tubbo had left the server. He had meant to go talk to them to but they had run away to fast after the meeting. He had heard the fight that had taken place in the hot dog van Wilbur was angry that Tubbo hadn't talked much during the meeting but Tommy had been talking over him the whole time so it makes sense he'd stopped talking. Tommy wasn't trying to make Tubbo upset he was trying to make Wilbur not yell at Tubbo like the last meeting when Tubbo had suggested a violent idea.
Tommy knew that it was Tubbo having had a friend that moved on to his birth server that grew up on an anarchy server. It wasn't Tubbo's fault that a childhood friend was from a violent server and had tainted him into thinking that violence was an answer. Besides Tubbo wasn't naturally violent he was just a bit cold until you got him to open up.
Tommy was sure that Tubbo had just gone to go strip mining or something. Tubbo had done this before but he was always back before the end of the day if not the morning after. He'd sometimes come back in a different outfit but it was always because he'd gotten it dirty and just needed to clean up a bit before coming back.
Tubbo was soft and often warm but every once in awhile it would feel like Tommy was just meeting the shorter boy. He was quiet and cold and refused to help unless help was given in return it was like Tommy was talking to a version of Tubbo from years ago. His com dinged again and showed that Tubbo had hopped back onto the server.
Tommy wasn't stupid he knew that when Tubbo came back to L'manberg with bruised knuckles and quieter than he was even when he reverted back to when they first met that something happened. He didn't know what but he suspected it had something to do with the reason why Tubbo had left the server in the first place.
He knew that Tubbo was thinking of something in detail by the way he was fiddling with the piece of red ribbon that Tommy had wrapped the first gift he'd given Tubbo in years ago. Tubbo had a habit of wrapping it around his fingers in a specific order and then rewrapping them in a slightly different order. Tommy had slowly come to know that what order he wrapped each finger was related to what he was thinking about. Tommy would usually ignore it and pretend he didn't know what Tubbo was thinking but other times he would start a small conversation to help Tubbo voice what he was thinking and perhaps help him figure out what to do.
Tommy knew a lot about Tubbo though he didn't voice them often. he knew that Tubbo wasn't his actual name but if Tubbo wanted to be called Tubbo then he'd call him Tubbo because that's the name they gave him when they first met and he hadn't said to call him something else it's also their com name which means they had hacked their com and changed it. Tommy knew that Tubbo liked bees because while they were cute they were also dangerous when angry and it reminded him of his family. He also knew that Tubbo's favorite color was green because it was the color of his childhood room.
Tommy would like to think he knew everything he could about the older teen but he knew that there was more to know. Tubbo was Tommy's best friend and he'd rather die than lose his friendship with Tubbo. His discs maybe sentimental but only because Tubbo had once offhandedly told him that his favorite music disc was mellohi once. Tommy hadn't meant to pull Tubbo into the start of the war but now they were fighting for their independence and Tommy was a bit happy that Tubbo was fighting side by side with him.
