Tommy knew Tubbo was off recently when he server hopped in the middle of the night. Of course, he had notifications on his com so whenever Tubbo server hopped on and off the server he'd know which would be weird if it was anyone else but he was Tubbo's best friend and he liked to keep track of whether he was on the server or not, along with the times he leaves and returns.

He heard the loud iron door shut on the hot dog van before the notification of Tubbo server hopping went off. He supposed it was just Wilbur and Tubbo having another argument that was getting a bit more out of hand and often. He made a note to himself to talk to Wilbur about the fights. Tubbo needed cheering up he finally decided.

Tubbo probably won't be back until the morning if not a bit later so Tommy totally had enough time to create a place with all Tubbos favorite things. Yeah sure he had duties to attend as second in command but Tubbo came first as always Tubbo comes first. He decided that he would walk in one direction until he found a good place to make Tubbo's present.

Finally, he came across a large oak forest with a large circular clearing in the center. He marked the coordinates and then set off to go find a bunch of Tubbo's favorite things.

He'd knew he'd need a bunch of flowers to attract bees and he knew he needed a campfire and finally, a chest or barrel to put blankets and non-perishable foods in incase Tubbo gets hungry. He wanted his best friend healthy and that meant making sure he was well fed.

Wandering about the server he found himself in a large flower field of course he began carefully uprooting them to replant later. With all the flowers nearby he found several beehives which he removed with a silk touch pick he luckily had with him. Tommy grabbed all of his supplies and finally made his way back to the clearing.

He went to work carefully replanting the many flowers. He didn't usually take this much time and care with things but this was a gift, a gift for Tubbo so it had to be perfect. He carefully placed the beehives in the trees making sure they wouldn't fall at all. Taking the chest from his backpack he placed it up against a wall and filled it with as much food as he could while making sure that it wouldn't rot or mold. Placing another chest next to it he put numerous soft green woolen blankets in case Tubbo got cold.

He looked around the clearing to see what else he could possibly add. The only thing that came to mind was a campfire and maybe some vines around the clearing to make it more private.  Tommy sighed as he walked out of the clearing and went back to wandering around until he found what he was looking for which at this point was a swamp or a jungle.

When he had almost given up he saw in the distance a swamp and almost cried in relief. His feet hurt, his hands hurt, and his back hurt but he slowly made his way over to the swamp and pulled out his shears. Cutting off as many vines as possible from the trees he wrapped them into a bundle and placed them in his backpack for later. He cut down a tree before chopping them into sticks. Taking his sticks he put them into his backpack with the rest of his stuff and stumbled his way out of the swamp taking a minute to empty his shoes of the swampy water that had managed to make it into them.

By this point, Tommy was tired and hungry and just generally done with this project but he lightly reminded himself that it was for Tubbo and continued on back to the clearing. Clearing a small area in the grass he set down the sticks and lit them with the flint and steel he had tucked in his back pocket in case Tubbo wanted to commit arson. With the sun setting, he began to worry about how long Tubbo had been gone but he'd gone server hopping for longer so he decided to ignore the feeling of dread that attempted to make a home for itself in the back of his mind.

Climbing the trees around the clearing for the second time that day he swung the vines around the branches until it was in a cross-like design where you could see through but not easily. Leaning back against one of the trees he felt himself relax finally being able to take a break.

Basically crawling to the chests he opened the food one and grabbed a small portion he didn't want to eat the food he had saved for Tubbo but he also hadn't eaten all day so he rationed he could have a snack before going back to his base and making some actual food. Feeling a bit chilly as the sun set completely leaving only the stars and the campfire to light up the clearing. He opened the chest and pulled out one of the thick green woolen blankets and wrapped it around himself. Walking closer to the campfire he sat down feeling both the warmth of the fire and the blanket.

Tubbo hasn't hopped back onto the server yet and while Tommy knew that Tubbo was probably busy he couldn't help but wonder what was keeping him so long especially without saying goodbye. Biting down on his snack to hopefully keep away the thoughts of Tubbo abandoning him because of him talking over him a couple of days before. Tubbo wouldn't abandon him, Tubbo is his best friend. Eventually, the calming warmth of the fire and the weight of the blanket pulled him into a peaceful slumber.
