Daughter of Artemis: Shadowhunter

Chapter 5- Going to Olympus//Luna's POV

        I woke up startled. I forgot what had happened over the past 24 hours. Wow, my mum who really isn't my "mum", isn't, in fact, my mum. Artemis the Greek goddess is my mum. My dad who really isn't my dad, actually is my dad. That's a brain buster.

        Last night Percy and Annabeth showed us to the "guest cabin", they said it has never been used and was built a couple months ago. I guess this place doesn't get much guest. I looked around and I was the only one up in the cabin. My watch says it's 6:30. I guess everyone is getting the opportunity to sleep in! Annabeth mentioned breakfast will be served at 7:30, which means I have an hour. I went to go take a shower, when Magnus woke up and started talking to me.

        "So, how do you feel about all of this?" Magnus asked.

        "Honestly?" He nodded his head, "It sucks! I gotten comfortable with the Lightwoods, I was happy with my life, and this woman comes and tells me she's my mum and flips my world upside-down. Now I have to go protect the clave and this whole new world I was just introduced to."

        "Then why are you doing all this?" Magnus asked. He was like my own personal therapist!

        "I don't know. I think deep down I want to get to know Artemis, I mean the woman looks just like me! I want to feel like I know who I am. I want to know my greek side. But, I also want to help the mundanes/mortals. They are the ones who need help." I let everything out.

        "You're like a real-life superhero!" I gave him a dirty look, which he chuckled at. "I know you just got pulled into this, but from what I know of this world, you are going to rock on this quest and help save the world. I believe in you." I walked over to him and gave him a hug.

        "Thank you for talking to me. I really needed this. I also really need to take a shower, so I'm going to go do that. I'm going to Olympus today, and I feel like I need to look my best." He let me go and I went to go take a shower.

        After my shower I walked out to find everybody up. They were all sitting down talking, and when I stepped out of the bathroom they all looked up. "Magnus said you're going to Olympus today." Izzy said. Which I nodded to. "We just wanted to say good luck! Is it going to be just you and Artemis?"

        "I'm not sure, I have a feeling that'll be awkward. I'm going to see if I can get dad to go too." She and Alec gave me a dirty look. "I just feel that my "mum" and dad should be there. I feel like it would help the other gods understand more of the clave and complete the family look. Which, in turn, could mean a safer environment for me." I said back to them. Their faces eased.

After that we went to breakfast where we got many strange looks. When I say many, I mean everybody looked up at me and my family. After we ate, and not sacrificing food to the gods, which got us dirty looks, Artemis approached me.

"Hey, I know today is going to be a little stressful, so just tell me at any point if you would like to leave. I'm sure I will want to leave at some point but I have to be there, and you don't so, that makes you really lucky." I gave her a small smile. "Also, if there is anything you need before we go just let me know.

I gave her a sheepish smile, "Well I was wondering if we could take dad with us." She gave me a strange look. "I was just thinking he should be a part of this, he is the other part of this equation, and I feel if we show the other gods that, he is in fact not a mortal, they might take this thing semi, or dare I say demi, normal." She smiled at me while nodding.

"Well let's go get Robert then." Artemis and I left the camp and when we got to the institute we were greeted by my mum. She looked pissed.

"What are you two doing here? Especially her?" she asked while taking a deep breath through her nose.

"The other gods thought they should see who the daughter of Artemis is. I figured that if we take dad, then they would be nicer to me. Show that Artemis didn't completely didn't brake her vow." I told her and she nodded.

"He's in the library, thinking." Getting dad to go was a difficult process of him declining, but he finally agreed. Now we were heading to the Empire State building, which I am told is the entrance to Olympus. When we got on the elevator Artemis turned to me and put her hands on my shoulders.

"You sure you're okay with doing this? My family can be very difficult." I nodded. "Thank you so much, Luna. I know don't know me at all but this really helps me so much." I gave her a shy smile when the doors opened. I was amazed to say the least. Everything was so pretty. We started heading through the streets when everyone kept looking my way and pointing. I felt like we were at the breakfast this morning again.

When we got to the Olympians room thing, I felt so small. Everything was so big there. Not alone the 12 other gods or goddesses in the room with there mouths opening looking at me. Wow, these greeks have a staring problem. Artemis walked in with her head high and said, "Everyone I would like you to meet my daughter, Luna and her father." With that Zues, or who I was guessing is Zues looked furious.
