"Look.. guys don't worry, Willie said he'd get us on that marquee." Alex said as the four ghosts stood outside of the orpheum.
Blake was pacing back and forth as she ran her hands through her hair. She never knew something would stress her out so much.
"Whoa there tiger, calm down." Luke said with a small laugh as he grabbed the girl, stopping her from moving around.
"Calm down? One of the few guys I don't trust is trying to 'save us'. Who knows, he could be a one of calebs little minions for all we know and he's just trying to get us back there." Blake said, folding her arms and looking at the boys.
"Blake.." Reggie said, motioning his head to Alex who seemed offended.
"Look, I know you like him Alex. And I'm sorry that I'm being like this but you've gotta understand that he basically brought you guys right to the danger and now look where we are." Blake said, looking to Alex.
"Well we would've been here anyways because of your stamp! And that's not willies fault. That's your own for running away from us." Alex said, defending the guy he liked.
Reggie and Luke just listened to the two bicker back and forth, noticing the familiar anger in Blake's eyes.
"OK ENOUGH!" Reggie basically yelled at the two. He hated to yell so the two immediately shut up. "Can't you guys just get along for what could be our last day here?"
Blake and Alex looked at each other then nodded their heads. Reggie was right, if this was their last day together, they wanted it to be good.
"Ok. Now where's Willie, he should be back by now." Luke said, looking around.
"This is going to work right?" Reggie asked.
Luke nodded. "It has to."
They all got jolts and stumbled over into each other. Blake managed to stay conscious as her body hit against the wall after her jolt.
She just sat herself down, her back against the wall and her legs to her chest. Luke came and kneeled down in front of her to check if she was alright.
"Bubs, you alright?" He asked, lifting her head up to see the rather pale look she had.
They didn't even notice that Willie had came back, he stood to the side talking to Alex and Reggie. "I'm ok." She said, using Luke to lean on as she stood up.
"You guys alright?" Willie asked the four ghosts, having appeared right when they got the jolt.
"Yeah, nothing we haven't felt before." Alex said, smiling at his friend. "So, how'd it go?"
Willie smiled. "Well, when that opening band wakes up, they're going to find themselves 200 miles outside of Vegas with no chance of getting back in time."
The four ghosts smiled. "Well then that means there must be a promoter upstairs right now freaking out." Luke said with a smirk.
"Nah man, this is Hollywood. I'm sure he's being very professional." Willie said with a small laugh.
The five of them could hear a now screaming promoter from the upstairs office of the orpheum, probably in the phone with the opening band who is now 200 miles away.
Alex stepped forward to talk to Willie, so Luke, Reggie, and Blake stepped to the side to talk.
"Blake you do not look very well." Reggie said, looking at her pale face.
"Reg I'm alright. I'm just not feeling my best after that jolt." She said, leaning against Luke again.
"Blake I'm taking you back to the studio. You've gotta lay down because this isn't normal." Luke said as he held the girl up.
"Yeah and if we get this gig we need you ready." Reggie said, crossing his arms and raising an eyebrow.
"But-"
"No buts, Julie and Quinn are at the studio so you won't be alone." Luke said, poofing him and the girl away.
"Your back already?! Did you get it?!"
Julie asked when she saw the two ghosts appear."Not yet, Blake got rocked by one of those jolts and doesn't look too well so I'm leaving her here. We'll be back soon with a gig." Luke said, putting Blake down on the couch and poofing away.
"Jeez those boys are so overprotective." Blake groaned as she sat up on the couch so she was sitting straight.
"But I would love to have people like them that are actually alive in my life." Quinn said, "the closest I've got are four ghosts and a Julie."
The two other girls laughed. "Yeah come on Blake, they're only like that because they love you." Julie said, nodding her head to the ghost girl. "Just like Quinn over here. She's like a mixture of all of you. Luke's anger issues for sure, reggies humor, Alex's smartness, and she's literally like a blonde version of you."
Quinn smiled. "Wait did you just say I have anger issues?!"
Blake and Julie started laughing. "Oh come on, you know you do sometimes." Blake said, smirking at her sister.
"Ok ok, but that's definitely from you. Luke's anger issues are only bad if it has to do with you. But from what I've heard from the boys, your always yelling." Quinn said with a small smile.
"Well.. your not wrong. But I don't just pick a fight, I always have a reason. And when we were alive there was always an issue whether it was the boys being complete idiots, dad being an ass, or Michael." Blake said.
Quinn and Julie knew Blake hated to talk about Michael. They knew that it only brought her back to the trauma in her life but they rally wanted to know more. Asking the boys was off limits because they would just say it's from Blake to say. Probably because one of them would start yelling.
"What was he like?" Julie asked.
"Who?"
"Michael." The two living girls said at the same time, making Blake's smile drop.
"Well.. he was a good guy. You would've never known what he was capable of unless you actually went through it. The boys never knew about how badly I was being treated towards the end of our relationship, and I plan to keep it that way. Once he cheated on me, Luke and bobby would attack the kid for even looking at me. He tried to get back together, but Luke made it clear to him that cheating wasn't the move by beating him up again." Blake said, she continued to talk about him. It felt good to get off her chest.
"And the exact night I found out he cheated and we broke up, I literally ran here and stopped the boys from practicing, well they decided to stop when they saw how terrible I looked. I was crying and it was raining.. it just wasn't the best time. We all got into Bobby's car and drove to Michael's house and Luke and Bobby attacked him while I sat in the back crying. Oh, and the band got some good songs out of it from me. I wrote the song 7 things and we sang it at a gig Michael was at, that resulted in me almost getting attacked by him though. Thank god Luke came to check why I was taking so long and he got to attack Michael." Blake continued.
Julie and Quinn just sat there in shock. They never knew Blake could talk this much about something that caused her the most pain.
"And then when we were playing the school dance we sang bright, the song Luke wrote for me. But then the night was ruined when I had to go pee and Michael found me. Then a week or two later, boom.. I'm dead." Blake finished, a sigh of relief coming from her. "That felt good to finally say out loud."
Quinn smiled. "So basically Luke and Bobby were the ones who would beat anyone up for you while Alex and Reggie stayed back to comfort you?" She asked.
Blake laughed. "Most of the time, yeah. Sometimes Reggie would join the fighting because he would get so pissed off. Alex never really joined them though."
"Reggie.. a fighter? What?!" Julie said with a small laugh.
"I know right." Blake said with a laugh as well.
"We're back!" The boys said as they reappeared into the studio.
Here comes the moment of truth.
