As the days ticked faster and her love for TJ became greater, the strong desire to satisfy her man grew even stronger. Of all the people she knew in her life, she only thought of one person who deserved all the happiness in the world. Filled with so much love and affection for him, she arrived at Schiphol Airport with her crew, bearing the most important gift she could ever give.
"We've arrived," she answered TJ's call at around 1PM in the afternoon as she exited through the glass doors of the arrivals hall. Nervously, she inspected her worn-out cabin bag that held his birthday present. She bent down to check if there was something stuck on the wheels.
"I see you, baby," he said over the phone.
Veronica looked up and almost dropped her mobile phone. Her fiancé was carrying an enormous bouquet of white tulips, standing beside a black chauffeured SUV parked on a curb. Before her plane took off in Dubai, he'd told her he won't be picking her up at the airport but at the crew hotel for dinner. She ran to him, grinning from ear to ear.
She had planned her surprise weeks in advance, making sure she'd be in New York on his birthday. But a cloud of disappointment loomed when he announced that his schedule changed. He had to fly to Amsterdam for a five-day business trip. Not allowing her efforts to go to waste, she requested to swap her New York for an Amsterdam flight. Shockingly, the crew systems app accepted it 48 hours before the flight departure.
"I thought you were swamped at work," she pressed her cheek on his chest as he wrapped her around his arms. The enormous flowers concealed them from the watchful eyes of the crew.
"I was, but I canceled all my meetings for my queen's arrival," he smiled.
"Thank you, baby. I literally cried blood and tears to get on this flight," she kissed him while the chauffeur helped them with her bags.
After informing the crew she won't be joining them in the shuttle, she hopped in the car with him. Not before long, they arrived in an enormous apartment that had been his home for three days now. She freshened up before taking a nap while he went down to his music studio to finish a day's work.
