"Dammit Kakashi-sensei! You obviously didn't think this through!" Alex growled at his mentor as he steadily jumped through the forest. Kakashi only grunted in response,  too tired to give any more confirmation to hearing Alex's lecture.

"I mean, I appreciate the fact that you actually came looking for me, but it doesn't really help if you're passed out and vulnerable in the middle of nowhere!!" Alex continued to rant while adjusting Kakashi slightly on his back, "-what if someone other than me found you, or if you were attacked in your state, you could've been killed!" Alex's ranting ended in a slight shout before he quickly calmed himself with a few deep breaths.

Kakashi stayed silent, his head only turning slightly from where it rested on-top of Alex's head. Alex had found him unconscious near the place where he recovered, with severe chakra exhaustion and minor injuries. Luckily he was already recovered , so he hastily bid goodbye to his dad before taking Kakashi back to Konoha.

Alex sighed in relief when Konoha's gates finally came into view at the distance. Not that he minded carrying Kakashi, but their height and size difference made it slightly awkward. He picked up the pace, grinning when he saw familiar faces at the gate, waiting.  Kakashi groaned and mumbled something unintelligible before settling down again.

"AAH MY YOUTHFULL RIVAL, YOU HAVE RETURNED!"

Alex flinched when Gai suddenly appeared in front of him, grinning widely. When Kakashi didn't respond Gai frowned and looked at Alex questioningly. "He has chakra exhaustion Gai-sensei, I was on my way to the hospital...um" Alex explained nervously. Gai held him in his gaze for a few seconds before another blinding grin appeared on his face. "YOSH!! HOW YOUTHFUL YOUNG ALEX, I SHALL ACCOMPANY YOU!!!"

Alex mentally groaned and continued his track to the hospital , Gai following like a lost golden retriever puppy while exclaiming things about 'youthfulness' that made Alex want to rip his hair out in frustration. When they finally reached the hospital, Alex stopped Gai just outside the doors. "Gai-sensei...I have a favor to ask...". Gai turned to him with a questioning look. "There is this super important thing you have to get for me...and it will help with Kakashi's recovery." Alex stated ,mentally scolding himself for using such underhanded tactics to get rid of him.

"YOSH! TELL ME WHAT YOU NEED AND I SHALL RETRIEVE IT ALEX-KUN!!!" Gai exclaimed with another blinding grin. Alex nodded in satisfaction before he started listing off crazy things like 'a dragon claw ' and  'the pollen of that very poisonous flower that grew a few miles outside of Konoha ' . Gai then gave another final 'YOSH!' before running off into the distance with the promise of returning with everything needed.

Alex sagged in relief and entered the hospital , immediately heading to reception and request for Kakashi to be looked at. After few hours of waiting Alex found himself in one of the rooms with everyone that went to rescue the Kazekage and the Hokage. Alex nearly squeaked when Kakashi suddenly groaned next to him. The whole room went silent, everyone watching as Kakashi slowly woke up. His eyes were slightly glazed over as he scanned the through the occupants in the room. When he saw Alex he tried sitting up, only to groan in pain as his body ached everywhere.

Alex quickly placed his hand on Kakashi's shoulder and gave a small squeeze in reassurance as he gently pushed him back down. The sheet covering Kakashi's face had shifted during his sudden movements, almost exposing his face and making Naruto curious. She tried to lean more to the left to try and see what the sheet was hiding, practically dying to find out what her sensei's face looked like. When she still couldn't catch a glimpse of anything, she slowly lifted her hands towards his face with the intention if removing it before Alex bonked her on the head with his fist.

"Ahhhh! My head!!!, why did you do that baka!" She shouted while gently probing at the egg size bruise forming on her head.

"You should no that it's disrespectful to remove someone's mask without their permission, and couldn't you be more subtle about it? " Alex questioned as he glared at her.
