Change Of Heart And A Change Of Fate

Chapter 13

2 years later (Timeskip)

The clangs of steel rang through the clearing, sparks flying as the weapons met each other half way and pushed off again into the the heat of battle. Pieces of the trees and bark flew everywhere as the two ninja striked with deadly accuracy. If anyone was watching, the only thing visible would be a red and black blur that occasionally clashed together with deadly speed.

"Katon: Gōkakyū no Jutsu!" 

A giant fireball, easily the size of a house , headed straight for Alex , destroying everything in it's wake. With a quick replacement justu Alex re-appeared out of range from the giant ball of death. The surrounding area went silent and Alex immediately stretched his senses out, not believing for a moment in the peace and quiet that had settled on the carnaged battlefield. When he found a chakra signature hiding in the trees  he quickly charged up his chakra and shot out a barrage of kunai that were enhanced with wind chakra, making them faster and deadlier. The loud 'Shink' sound of a dozen kunai tearing through bark echoed through the forest before it went silent once more.

When nothing happened , Alex started having a small bit of doubt, afraid of having been too rough and possibly injuring fataly. He didn't have a lot of time to let that doubt grow however, as his opponent quickly shot out from the undergrowth and engaged in a taijutsu battle with Alex. They moved through the forest in a deadly dance, not once allowing the other to get the upper-hand. It was then that only one small mistake on Alex's part that had cost him the battle. A small rabbit had gotten in the way and in Alex's attempts to avoid him he had been caught of guard.

Both of them were panting hard, with Alex's father holding him in a headlock and a kunai pressed to his neck.

"Dead" Obito gasped out before removing himself from the teen. Alex grumbled while adjusting himself to a more comfortable position on the floor. "You're getting better", Obito noted while placing himself next to Alex . "You may not see it, but you have grown in these past few years." And he wasn't wrong in both meanings. Alex had gained a few inches in height , making him only a few inches shorter than his dad. He also decided to dye his hair to one colour, so now it was a beautiful red colour that apparently looked exactly the same as the fourth-Hokages' wife. His clothes also changed to darker colours that helps with blending in on missions. In all he looked more mature than the first time he had set foot in the villige. His fighting would also be rated with high chunnin rank.

Speaking of, Minato had retired from the position as Hokage, much to everyone's surprise, and had given the hat to Tsunade, making her the fifth Hokage. Naruto had also left two years prier and was due back any day now. The tension between Alex and Naruto never really eased up, making them grow distant and their relationship becoming strained. She was apparently being trained by Jiraiya, much like how his father and Kakashi had taken up to teaching him. Sasuke was yet to be seen and Sakura had taken up apprenticeship under Tsunade , wanting to be a medic-nin.

Alex breathed out slowly while laying back on the grass and stretching his arms up above him. He purred in delight when he finally found a comfortable spot on the grass and closed his eyes with a content hum. His dad watched this all happen with amusement shinning in his coal black eye. He gently caressed his hair, squealing mentally when Alex started purring loudly . They found out that the cat attributes were side affects of becoming the jaguar summoner when Alex kept on purring whenever Obito showed up or ruffled his hair. The two of them  just sat there, exhausted and content after a fulling spar.

The following day early afternoon, Alex was on his way to the Hokage tower since he was called for a reason unknown to him. He was walking at a leisurely pace, not in a hurry to see the blond leader because of the obvious mission he was going to receive once he gets there.
