Y/n's POV

As I crash into them I am engulfed into a hug as three sets of strong arms wrap around me, my face pressed up against someone's chest. Releasing the hug we pull away and I wipe the tears off my face slowly making our way back towards the house.

"What the hell Clay, you just leave me here alone without telling me anything and one of you dies"

I turn to face him raising my voice and purposely slapping him on the arm a few times for good measure.

Stepping away from me slightly he rubs his arm and looks of guilt and slight pain written on his face.

George and Nick exchange confused looks. George starts to open his mouth but Nick beats him to it.

"How did you know George died"

I stop in my tracks and turn towards the raven haired boy. Shaking my head in disbelief I ask him the important questions.

"George died? How is he here then?"

Shifting my gaze to George my eyes fall onto the goggles still sitting on top of his head. I scan his face searching for anything to tell me that they are joking, but nothing is out of the ordinary.

Slowly I step towards him and wrap my arms around his torso. He returns the hug immediately wrapping his arms around me, setting his head onto mine letting me cry into his shirt.

"We don't really know how he is alive, but technically we all get one life and we can respawn twice to try and help the others complete the challenges"

I release George using my sleeve to wipe away more tears and continue our trek back to the house as I finish listening to Clay tell the story of everything that happened over the past three days.

'I have cried more in the past two days than I have in the past few years.'

By the time the story is over it's already midnight and we are all exhausted, barely able to stay awake long enough to make it to our rooms.

I open the door to my room and land onto the bed falling asleep almost as soon as my head hits the pillow.

'Everyone is back home safe and that's all that matters'

:-:-:-:-:-:-:-:-:-:

Waking up the fresh smell of baked potatoes hits my nose. Finding the strength to get up I make my way towards my door and open it, the strong smell making the stomach growl.

The door next to mine opens and a tired Clay walks out stretching in the doorway. Clay turns to me and smiles.

"Good morning y/n"

"Good morning Clay"

I smile back and wait for him to walk over to me before making our way to the kitchen where George is trying to cook potatoes without burning them.

Pulling the potatoes out of the furnace he sets them on the table as I sit down with Clay on my left. Nick appears a few seconds later taking the seat to my right. We all reach for the potatoes and start to eat.

"Mmmm this is so good George" Nick says sarcastically as he looks at his burnt and charred potato.

I bit my lip holding back a laugh and I can see Clay doing the same, however when we make eye contact we can't help it and we bust out laughing.

George drops the potato onto his plate and crosses his arms across his chest.

"Hey, that's rude, at least I tried"

I call myself down as the green man wheezes like a tea kettle to my left.

"It's good Georgie, just a little bit burnt."

He glances at me giving me an unbelieving look as a ping resonates from our watches.

NEW CHALLENGE
PREPARE FOR THE UNDERWORLD

I finish my potato and stand up looking at the other boys who are doing the same before we grab our bags and start to head out for the day again.

I pack a few logs and the extra beds we have as well as some coal and split them amongst everyone.

"The underworld means the Nether right?" I ask, opening a secret chest hidden under the floor.

Nick nods, taking a peek inside the chest to see what I'm doing. Pulling out six diamonds I craft two diamond pickaxes and hand one to George and the other to Nick.

"Well, that means it's time to go mining, preferably for more diamonds and obsidian"

"Teams of two, whoever comes back with the most in four days wins" Clay challenges me as he grabs two bottles of water from a chest.

"You're on," I shoot back grabbing the two other bottles and shoving them into my bag.

I see a fully armored Clay grab an equally armored George's hand and pull him out the door straight into the forest.

I grab some more food shoving in into my backpack and put on my armor and I see Nick doing the same.

I am almost done putting on the iron leggings when I stumble and lose my balance. Closing my eyes I hold my hands out to stop my face from hitting the floor, but the impact never comes.

"Are you okay"

I regain my composure and nod my head dusting off my clothes.

"Yeah, thank you, that would have hurt. Anyways, you ready, let's get going."

We grab our bags and head out the door locking in behind us and leaving the key hanging on the torch.

I look around for anything that might be useful, but find nothing. Tapping Nicks' shoulder I motion towards the woods behind the house and we head off making small talk as we look for a decent cave.
