Part 9

Y/n's POV

Walking towards the edge of the ravine with Nick beside me I peak over the edge looking for a way down.

"I think I see some water over there we can land in"

I turn to Nick and follow his gaze down nodding slowly before we make our way over to the small water pool.

We line up on the edge and I look up at Nick clearly nervous.

He looks down to me and takes my hand in his.

"Hey don't worry, we got this"

Collecting all my strength I edge closer and get ready to jump.

"3..."

I look at Nick who gives me another reassuring glance.

"2..." he continues

"1..." we say together leaping forward.

As we fall I can feel my hand tighten around Nicks and him giving me a squeeze back as we land safely in the water.

"Oh my, WE ACTUALLY DID IT" I shout as Nick and I climb out of the water onto the stone beside it still hand in hand.

I release his hand and jump up throwing my arms around him. He wraps his arms around me giving me a warm hug as the cool wet clothes stick to our skin.

"I'm proud of you y/n, you didn't let your fear stop you"

I pull back and glance up at him, his wet hair messy and water drops rolling down his face.

'That's not a bad look'

"I couldn't have done it without you, not come on, we have work to do."

As he drops his arms I grab his hand and pull him over to some iron and coal not too far away.

"Ok, I'll get the iron, can you get the coal and some stone for a furnace or two"

He nods taking out a wooden pick and mining some of the stone surrounding us.

Turning towards the iron I take out my stone pickaxe and swing it at the iron block a few times before it breaks and I move onto the next piece.

"Swing your pickaxe from side to side" I softly sing as I mine.

"Side side to side"

I stop and turn around to see Nick smiling at me before I continue back to work Nick still singing in the background

As I finish up mining the vein of iron I see that Nick has set up two furnaces each with some coal.

Placing the iron in the furnace I see that nick has got to the left side of the ravine looking for some iron so, obviously, I go right.

After about 2 hours of mining and returning to place the iron in the furnace we have about 73 iron ingots and 14 iron ore giving us a grand total of..... 87 iron.

"Hey y/n, guess what I just found"

I turn to see Nick approaching me with an iron pickaxe.

"Diamonds?"

He reaches into his backpack and pulls out some lapis followed by DIAMONDS.

"Omg how many were there"

"Only 7, but that's 7 more than before"

I lightly laugh at his joke as he puts away the valuables. We wait for the rest of the iron to smelt talking some more and getting some smaller blocks so we can tower out of the ravine.

Grabbing the rest of our stuff we make our way over to the ravine wall and start to pile up placing a block under ourselves as we jump.

After a little less than a stack of blocks later we make it to the top and collapse on the grass beside each other laying there in silence as we struggle to catch our breaths.

I check my hunger on the watch and see that I have two hunger bars left. Reaching over and grabbing Nick's wrist he gives me a strange look but doesn't say anything. I check his watch and see that he has three hunger bars left.

Pulling out some cooked mutton I give him two and I take two for myself eating one piece in the time it takes for him to eat both of his.

"You know, we got a lot done today"

I nod, my mouth full front he bite I just took, taking some time to chew I finally swallow my piece.

"How much do you think George and Dream collected"

Nick takes a moment to think before smiling.

"Definitely less than us"

I continue eating quietly, feeling Nick's eyes on me, as I take my last bite.

I watch Nick get up and dust the grass off his still damp clothes before grabbing my hands and pulling me up.

We grab our stuff and set off in the direction we came. It was getting close to the time we were supposed to group back together.

As we near our meeting spot we see the two others walking our way as well.

I start walking faster, Nick speeding up to match my pace, when soon I make him start running.

When we were merely 10 blocks away I drop my backpack and practically jump into Dream's arms almost tackling him.

"Well hi there" he says after steadying himself wrapping his arms tightly around me.

"I missed you guys" I say jumping down from Dreams grasp and into George's.

George hugs me back, his head resting on top of mine. I pull away from George's embrace and step back.

"So how much iron did you guys get"

Dream and George share a look.

"Well, we have 14 smelted iron, 7 iron ore and 6 gold ore." Dream starts off

"But we also found an abandoned mineshaft with 4 diamonds and an ender pearl." George finishes.

"An ender pearl?! Already, that's great" I say looking between the two boys who clearly didn't think so.

"I guess, what about you, did you two have better luck?"

I look over and smile at Nick.

"Nick and I were able to get 73 iron ingots, 14 iron ore, and 7 diamonds. Meaning we can all fat full iron and iron swords with 4 ingots to spare. I don't think we should use the diamonds for anything yet."

The three boys nod agreeing with me.

'We actually are going to be able to complete the second challenge, that's awesome'

The four of us start off in the direction of the house once again in pairs, but this time George is in the back with me.

"How was your day mining with Sapnap, oops, I mean Nick"

I laugh a little at his mistake before replying and returning the favor asking him about his.

As we walk and talk George slowly starts to walk closer towards me until our shoulders are practically touching. I feel something brush against my hand once... twice... three times before I feel George finally get the courage to grab my hand.

I don't say anything, I just continue with our conversation before intertwining our fingers. I look up at George and I see his cheeks go red and I can feel mine do the same.

George and I continue talking, our fingers laced together his thumb drawing little circles on mine.

We walk for a while longer before the sun starts to set. I see the lit up house in the distance.

'Well this is definitely confusing, can you possibly like more than one person'

Okay so I don't really like doing authors notes, but I have an idea of two for the next cute moment but I'm not sure which boys to do if with so please give me some help.
