I jumped awake, then groaned as I placed my hand on my forehead as I stared at my bedroom wall, 'two months on the Nebuchadnezzar, and I still can't sleep like a normal human being...' I sighed as I climbed out of my bed, I ran my fingers through my hair before grabbing my hairbrush, I brushed my hair, brushed my teeth, and then got dressed.

I walked into the mess hall and saw Morpheus and Neo talking. They both looked at me, I raised my hands up, "I can go back to my room if you two are having a private conversation" I spoke as Neo smiled a little and then looked back at his drink, "no, we're done talking..." Morpheus spoke as he got up and walked off. Now it was Neo and I alone in the mess hall, "can't sleep?" he asked as I grabbed myself something to drink. I let out a sigh and sat across from him. "No..." I spoke sipping on my drink, "wanna talk about it?" he asked as I looked at him, "no, don't worry about it..." I shook my head as he cocked his. "So, you expect me to just listen to you scream out every time we go to sleep?" he asked as I looked at him, "my room is next to yours remember, I can hear every time you scream or cry out in your sleep," he told me as I clenched my jaw, "last week you were calling out to your parents...this week..." he trailed off as I stared at my drink that rested in my cup, "this week you're screaming out for me" he spoke as I looked at him.
"Then you know more than I do...because I can't remember my dreams," I told him as he stared at me, "I'm sorry" he whispered as I cocked my head, "I don't know what you're dreaming about that involves me and you screaming out for me...but I'm sorry that you're going through that," he told me as I snorted, "dreams are weird Neo, you don't have to feel bad because of something you're doing in my dreams. I don't even know why I'm dreaming about you" I told him as he looked at me, "maybe you should ask the Oracle." he told me as I sighed, "she'll only tell me what I need to hear" I shook my head, "true, but it may give you some answers as to why you're having these dream about me" he spoke as I stared at him, "I can go with you if you want" he added as I smiled at him, "sure" I nodded.
~Time skip~
We walked into the Oracles home and waited. "She'll see you now Y/n" a woman spoke as I smiled and followed her into the kitchen. "Hello Y/n" the Oracle spoke as she turned and looked at me. "Please sit" she gestured to the seat across from her, I sat down and looked at her. She stared at me, "I know why you're here" she spoke as I smiled a little, "you always know why someone is here to see you" I spoke as she chuckled, "yes, that is true" she nodded, "you wanna know about your dreams...why you've been dreaming about Neo dying in front of you." she said as I blinked a few times, "I didn't even know that was happening in my dreams" I told her as she chuckled, "the human mind is something to marvel at. It can conjure up the most horrible things and then make sure you never remember those things..." she told me as I stared at her, "but I think you already know the reason you're dreaming about him...you just don't want to admit it to yourself" she added as I looked away. "I don't know what you're talking about" I whispered as she placed a hand on my hand, "why do you hide your love for him?" she asked me as I looked at her, "because he's got too much on his plate to be worried about me twenty-four-seven," I told her as she shook her head, "and you really believe that?" she asked as I pulled my hand away, "I shouldn't have come..." I said getting up, and opening the kitchen door. "Deny it all you want Y/n...but don't keep him from knowing" she spoke as I stopped in the doorway and looked at Neo, I remained quiet as I closed the door and walked past him.
~Time skip~
I sat in my bedroom, on my bed, thinking about what she had to say. There was a knock on the door, "it's open" I shouted as Neo walked in, "you all right?" he asked as I looked at him, "I'm fine..." I lied, 'I don't love him...' I mentally spoke as I sighed out, "are you sure? What did she say?" he asked as I chuckled softly, "she seems to think that: the reason I'm having dreams about you is that I'm in love with you. Which, is totally a lie because I'm not in love with you, you're my best friend" I told him as he stared at me, "would that really be so bad?" he asked softly as I looked at him, our faces inches apart, "you have too much on your plate to worry about me...you're my best friend Neo" I whispered as our nose brushed against one another. "Hey! There you two are, time to go" Link spoke as we quickly pulled away.
~Time skip~
I fell through the air shooting at the agent that was falling and shooting at me. A bullet managed to hit me, I exhaled as I let go of my guns before I could hit the ground someone caught me, Neo landed on a building and held me like I was his bride. I cried out in pain as he set me down. "Y/n..." he whispered as I looked at him, "why didn't you stay behind? Leave with Morpheus?" he asked as I groaned, "I-I don't know" I whispered as he sighed, "the bullet is still inside" he whispered as he reached inside me, I screamed out and held onto him, he pulled the bullet out and threw it somewhere. "You're gonna be okay" he whispered as I placed a hand on his cheek, "I should've told you..." I groaned as he held me, "shh..." he spoke, "I-I was just so scared I'd lose you", "Y/n, please don't..." he shook his head, "I love you Neo..." I whispered as everything grew dark.
~Neo's pov~
"Y/n?" I asked as her hand fell from my cheek, "Y/n? No, no, please don't leave me..." I whispered as I place my forehead against hers, "I won't let you leave..." I whispered, "I love you too damn much" I added as I reached my hand into her body and restarted her heart. She let out a gasp as I pulled my hand out (if you've seen the second Matrix movie then you'll know where I got this idea, you're basically Trinity in this part) she panted as she looked at me. "Too damn much" I whispered as she grew confused, I captured her lips in a tantalizing kiss. "Guess we're even now...granted I didn't bring you back from the dead...I just saved your life" she whispered as I chuckled and kissed her again.
