"Mal, come on! We don't have much time!" Evie yelled dragging Mal to their first class of the day. Evie had slept through her alarm leaving them only thirty minutes to get themselves ready. And it didn't help that Mal was still half asleep for she was not a morning person.

"I'm coming, Evie." She said tiredly allowing herself to be dragged by her blue-haired friend. They burst into their classroom just as the bell rang signalling the start of the class.

"Cutting it pretty close, aren't we ladies?" Their teacher said to them as he was just about to start the lesson.

"Sorry Mr. Smith, I slept through my alarm by accident." Evie apologized to him as she sat down in her seat next to Mal, who basically fell into her chair and her head fell onto her desk and Evie soon heard her start snoring softly.

Evie hit the back of her head to get her to wake up. And Mal instantly sat up just as Mr. Smith turned around from writing stuff on the chalkboard. As everybody was writing stuff down, taking notes on what he was saying, which Mal had a hard time understanding as she kept zoning out, she found herself looking at Evie's paper trying to copy her notes.

"Mal stop. Do your own work." Evie whispered at her as she then hid her paper from Mal's sight. Mal groaned quietly as not to let Mr. Smith hear her, making Evie roll her eyes at her best friend's behavior. Mal had been trying to find ways to cheat off of Evie's work for the past few days and Evie knew she had to put a stop to it. Mal had to graduate through her own work, not someone else's. Mal just held her head in the palm of her hand as she was upset.

And after what was not soon enough, the bell finally rang. Mal gathered her things and followed Evie out of the classroom, but as soon as they were out of there, Evie pulled Mal aside to their lockers. "Mal, you need to learn to do your own work. Ok? You're never going to graduate if you don't." She told her.

"I do my own work. I just use your answers." Mal argued.

"Mal, that's not how it's supposed to be done." Evie replied. "If you're struggling to learn, I can help you! I've tutored students before, I can certainly tutor you too."

"Tutor? I don't need a tutor! I'm doing just fine on my own!" Mal began raising her voice.

"Yeah, by cheating."

"Evie, just leave the matter alone!" Mal yelled at her. Just as Evie was about to say something else, the bell rang again. "I gotta go to my art class. I'll see you at lunch." Mal then slung her bag over her shoulder and left Evie by the lockers.

Evie sighed, she knew she had to help Mal. But she also knew she had to go to her next class as well. She would try to talk to Mal again later.

After the school day had ended, Evie had gone back to hers and Mal's dorm to do her homework. At lunch, she had tried talking to Mal again, but Mal had kept changing the subject every time. She was expecting Mal to be at their dorm, but when she had walked in, she found it completely empty. "Where could that girl be?" She asked herself out loud. She figured she might have gone to hang out with the boys, so she just got started on her homework.

And about an hour or two later, she heard a knock on the door. "Come in, it's open!" She called. She heard the door open, but she didn't look up from her work to see who it was. "How can I help you?"

"I'm just gonna lay down." She heard Mal say. Wait, Mal? Evie quickly looked up at her. "Mal? Why did you knock? This is your room too, you can just come in." She told her.

"I don't know. I didn't want to just barge in here if you were busy." Mal said.

"Still, you could've just come in." Evie saw Mal just shrug her shoulders as her response. "Mal, is something wrong?"

"No. Why would you think that?"

"I don't know, it's just you're acting kind of strange." Evie replied.

"I'm just acting like myself! I'm sorry if you have a problem with it!" Mal snapped at her.

"Mal! What is going on with you?!"

"Nothing! Ok?! Just stop trying to pry into my life!" Mal yelled.

"I'm not prying into your life!" Evie said getting a little upset at how Mal was talking to her. "Look, I'm sorry if I made you think I was."

"Yeah, whatever." Mal said crossing her arms.

"So, why were you late?" Evie asked trying to change the subject a little.

"Oh, Fairy Godmother was just telling me that apparently we're going on another field trip to the museum tomorrow!" Mal said with fake excitement.

"That'll be fun!" Evie tried lighting her mood.

"It's a museum! What's fun about that? Especially if Fairy Godmother's taking us it will be even less fun."

Evie smiled at her a little. She knew that Mal hated being bored. Back on the isle, if she was ever bored, she would just go find someone to torture. But now that they lived in Auradon, she could no longer do that. "I'm sure you'll find someway to have fun, Mal." Evie assured her.

Mal just rolled her eyes at her, she doubted that would ever happen. What was so fun about a museum? She'd been there several times and nothing ever changed so why did they need to go back for another silly little field trip anyway? But just then, another knock was heard on the door. Evie looked over at Mal, silently asking her if she had an idea as to who was at the door. And as if Mal could read her mind, Mal shook her head in response. So Evie stood up to go and answer it. And on the other side was Doug.

"Doug? What are you doing here?" She asked him.

"I couldn't help but notice that you had this look on your face in class, I wanted to know if you're ok." He said.

"Doug, I am fine. Now I seriously need you to stop stalking me."

"Ok, would you like to go down to the cafeteria and get some coffee with me?" He asked.

"Doug, I hate coffee."

"Oh. Then would you like to get something you do like with me?" He asked hopefully.

"Stop trying to ask me out. I have a boyfriend!" Evie told him.

"Can I just-" That's when she slammed the door shut in his face.

Evie groaned as she put her back to the door. "Mal, could you do something to him for me?"

"Like what?" Mal asked.

"I don't know. Curse him?"

"E, even if I wanted to, I don't have my spell book. And plus I'm trying to be good, remember?"

Evie sighed with disappointment. Little did she know, that Mal secretly wanted to curse him. She just didn't show it.
