QUINN STARED AT HER PHONE. she read the text messages she had been sending george for the past few days. she texted him at least twenty times, and no response at all. she was worried they'd end up like before, separate.

she sat on the couch beside lola, where her eyes were glued to the tv. the two girls were having a twilight marathon, making it their girl to finish it in one day. obviously quinn was happy and excited to spend time with her best friend, but her attention was stuck on george instead.

"you okay?" lola turned to face the brunette who blankly stared back at her. "yeah, just thinking about stuff." quinn shrugged in response, grabbing a handful of popcorn from the bowl. "like?" lola raised a brow. "george hasn't spoken to me in days- and i don't know if i did anything for him to be ignoring me..." quinn said with her head in her hands. she couldn't think of anything she could've done to cause this torture. "don't worry about it, he's probably just busy with stuff."

"yeah, probably busy with another girl." quinn mumbled quietly, but loud enough for lola to hear her. "he's not like that, you and i both know that." lola said, startling quinn. "maybe he's changed," quinn shrugged. "it's not even like him and i are actually together, lo."

"you guys were broken up for what? a year? more? he didn't date anyone else during that time, q." lola spoke, trying to comfort her. "he didn't date anyone publicly."

"quinn, i promise you, there's nothing to be worried about." lola said holding quinn's hands. "how do you know?" quinn's brows furrowed. "i just do, okay? trust me."

a few hours passed, the girls were still watching twilight, but now lola was making more popcorn for the pair.

a few soft knocks on the door made the girls look at the door before looking back at each other. "can you get the door, please? i don't wanna burn the popcorn." lola said as quinn nodded.

the small girl lifted herself off of the couch, running a hand through her hair before unlocking the door.

"surprise!" a familiar voice shouted. "george?!"
