xi. george's gift

QUINN OPENED THE DOOR TO REVEAL THE TALLER BOY. he grinned at the sight of the girl who smiled softly. "merry christmas!" quinn shouted happily as she hugged the boy, and after a few seconds he wrapped his arms around her.

"merry christmas, quinn." he smiled, following the girl into the apartment. she quickly grabbed his hand, dragging him towards her bedroom.

"okay sit down, and then cover your eyes." he said as he stood in the doorway nervously. "shit, when did you become a power bottom?" quinn joked, watching his mouth hang open. "it's a joke, dummy." she chuckled, sitting down on her bed as she watched george gulp.

the boy was scared shitless. she had rejected him just a few nights before and now she was acting perfectly normal. he didn't know how the girl would react to the gift, and he was scared to mention the events that had happened only a while before.

"well?" she said, causing the boy to snap out of his train of thought. "sorry," he spoke, reaching into the small bag he held before looking back at the girl. her hands were over her eyes, a small smile forming on her face, patiently waiting for the boy to give her the gift. "i hope you like it." he mumbled placing the small box on her lap.

the girl slowly uncovered her eyes, shifting her gaze between the box and the boy. "is a spider gonna pop out of it?" the girl asked, staring up at the boy who grinned as he shook his head. "oh, i wish i thought of that." he rolled his eyes as he let out a chuckle.

quinn then brought her sight towards the box, picking it up from her lap and lifting the lid. "is this what i think it is?" quinn questioned, looking up at the boy who was obviously nervous. "depends what you're thinking." he shrugged. "don't be a smartass, george." she gave him the finger before lifting the wrapping paper from the box with her other hand.

to her surprise, it was a bracelet. but it wasn't just any bracelet, it was the bracelet. the bracelet quinn would always talk about saving up for when the pair were a couple. she had never gotten the chance to get it for herself because of rent and other more important things.

she sat there in silence, staring at the bracelet as her eyes turned cloudy. "say something, you're scaring me." he broke the silence, watching as the girl looked up at him with tears in her eyes. "why are you crying?" he giggled at the girl who was crying of joy, tears now streaming down her face.

"y-you got me the fucking bracelet." she sniffled, rubbing her sweatshirt sleeve against her nose. "i know how much you wanted it, and i thought you'd like it." he smiled, pulling the smaller girl in for a hug.

she quickly wrapped her arms around him, pushing her face against his shirt. "thank you so much." she spoke into his clothing, feeling his chin rest on the top of her head. "you're welcome, q."
