TWO UNREAD MESSAGES FROM:
GEORGE

george
i know you probably don't like
me that much, but you like my
friends so i was thinking...

george
friends?

"I FUCKING SAID YES!" quinn shouted with her head in her hands. she was currently on facetime with tubbo, tommy, wilbur, and lola. she had explained how she stupidly agreed to become friends with george and couldn't stop stressing over it.

"excuse me?" lola's voice could be heard before wilbur's voice cut in. "you did what?" the man questioned. the four people watched as quinn fell back on her bed. "i didn't want to be an asshole." she sighed, rubbing her eyes. she could not even begin to explain how disappointed she was in herself, but she knew tommy would be even more disappointed.

"tommy, are you there?" tubbo questioned why the blonde boy wasn't speaking. he usually has a comment whenever quinn or someone else makes a stupid decision, but today he was silent. "oh god." quinn stared at her screen, waiting for tommy's voice to pop out of nowhere.

she watched as tommy sat back in his chair, staring at the floor. "tommy, can you please say something?" quinn bit her lip afraid of what would come out of his mouth. "maybe tommy just needs to think, it's alright q." tubbo cut in, knowing how nervous she gets whenever someone doesn't answer her.

as wilbur and tubbo were bickering, they were interrupted by the sound of quinn's doorbell. her dog, sheep, was now barking at the door. "i'll call you guys back later, bye." quinn said before hanging up the phone, throwing her phone on her bed before walking towards her door.

she opened the door a bit, peaking through to see clay standing outside with a bag in his hand. "i wasn't expecting you." she spoke, opening the door so he could now walk in. the moment he stepped foot into her home, he wrapped his arms around the smaller girl before she did the same.

"tommy told me you weren't doing too well." clay spoke, his green eyes pierced into her hazel eyes. "then he proceeded to explain how you are a 'stupid hoe' and how george doesn't deserve to be your friend." clay chuckled, earning a smile quinn. he stared at her cloudy, dark eyes for a moment. how could george hurt someone so delicate? clay wished he knew the answer to that.

quinn took the bag from his hand, bringing it to her kitchen before she began unpacking it. it was full of snacks and drinks, quinn smiled to herself before glancing at clay who was still standing next to the front door. he watched her carefully, more specifically her sad eyes. he knew what happened when she and george had ended things, and he knew how terrible it was. he knew how hard it was for her, and he couldn't let her go through that again.

"what's wrong?" clay asked, wanting to just help his best friend. "george." quinn responded, opening a bottled water before taking a sip of it. "what about george?" the man questioned, causing quinn to look at him. "how can he pretend that everything is normal? i get he wanted to know if the song was actually about him, but why and how is he able to act like nothing happened?" quinn looked at clay, he watched as her eyes filled with tears.

"i honestly do not know, but i think you should try to be friends with him. if you don't feel comfortable, you can stop, but i want you to try, okay?" clay walked towards the girl, staring into her sad eyes. "okay, i'll try." quinn nodded. clay held his arms open to her for, quinn wrapped his arms around his body. clay placed his chin on the top of her head. "i love you, clay." she whispered, clay only let out a sigh.

"i love you more." clay responded, but this time it was different. though the pair have always said they loved each other, clay wasn't sure if he was saying it as a friend or something more, but he knew quinn would always see him as friend.

because he knew how in love she was with george, and there was no way her feelings were completely gone for him.
