summertime lingers within me
the thought of being free
surrounds my mind like a thousand fireflies
the feeling of warmth
and the touch of water
is all that's on my mind
walking on the beach at sunset
skies pink and blue
and all i can say is
'i love you'
ice cream melts onto the ground
as we sit there
knowing that summer lasts forever
and that feeling will never
be taken away from us
