Chapter 19

CARL'S POV

I waited for a very long time for her to wake up. I prayed and prayed and prayed that she'd be alive. I was tired as hell and I couldn't think straight. I thought she was surely going to die. I was certain she wasn't going to make it.

LIBBY'S POV

I slowly awoken to a bright light, it took quite a while for my eyes to adjust to the light. I looked around and it was beautiful, it was colourful and had flowers everywhere. Was it a dream?
I kept looking around for a while until I finally decided to walk and have a look around this new place. I slowly took a step forwards and surprisingly felt I still had my leg. I lifted up my jeans at the bottom to see no bite, which was really confusing. This place, it was beautiful but where were the people, there was no one here but me... "Hello? Anyone here?" I shouted to see of there was any reaction. "Hi" I heard a certain voice whisper, I noticed this voice from somewhere, but where? I slowly turned around to see the one person I'd been thinking of most. "m...mom?" I whispered, feeling a tear stroll down my cheeks.
"Shh, sweetie it's okay" I slowly nodded my head and asked "a...am I dead?"
She shook her head and chuckled a little "no, you got bit by a walker, like me" she laughed "as much as I don't want you to, you need to go back" I quickly shook my head and hugged her tightly "no... I ain't loosing you again, I can't" I cried and begged her but nothing worked. "no, Carl needs you, your son needs you, I promise one day we will see each other again" I slowly nodded and hugged her one last time before she slowly disappeared, 'the safety of the light' was slowly fading away. tears streamed down my face before my eyes closed and I felt myself go into the darkness once again!
