Chapter 15------- a new start

LIBBY'S POV

Me and Mason was the only ones awake I guess the others had a nice sleep I didn't I just wanted Carl by my side I felt cold without him maybe tonight I will go in Carl's cell. I was emptying my bag which only had one and a half breakfast bar I gave half to Riley then split the whole one into a half I ate one half and as I did this I could hear footsteps but I carried on searching through my bag I then felt arms wrap around my waist.

"Libby hey baby" it was Carl I could tell I then turned around to see him he smiled "you know I couldn't sleep last night" I told him his smile then turned into a frown "why" he asked I told him "I was cold I felt like I was missing something without you when I'm with you I feel warm and comfortable" he smiled and kissed Me lightly I suddenly felt warm again as I kissed back holding Mason in my arms tightly. I pulled away and smiled teasingly. he smiled as I walked away and walked into mine and Emily's cell.

I was talking to Mason when we hear shouting coming from outside I knew it wasn't Emily as she was here with me I looked at her, handing her Mason "here have him a sec I'm going to check that out" she nodded taking Mason out of my arms I then ran outside with my gun ready as I aimed it at the man at the gates! I realised who it was as I lowered my gun slowly walking towards the man!

I smiled at him and said "u....uncle k?" He looked at me and smiled replying with "lib? is your mother alive?" I nodded looking at him as he looked back talking again "that's good so how is she doing the-" he got cutt off his sentence by several screams and several walker groans echoing through the prison! I didn't think I just opened the gates letting him in then locking it quickly behind me, we ran inside seeing walker bodies on the floor they were all dead but there were a few bodies, there were people I never really got to know but I knew they were good people!

I walked around looking at all the faces until I saw my mom on the floor as I helped her get up I noticed something that broke my heart!

CARL'S POV'

All the walkers had been killed but there were a few people from our group they were people we took in and never talked to. I then saw Libby run in with a man as she went to check the bodies I got my gun out and aimed it at his face and said calmly "who are you?" All the man did was smile and reply with "my name is Jay k but I like to be called k I'm Libby's uncle . now may I see her mother?"i lowered my gun and let him through keeping a close eye on him!

LIBBY'S POV

I looked at her as she weakly smiled at me and said "I knew this was going to happen I knew at some point I was going to die and I just wanted you to be happy I never treated you good enough and I'm sorry for that your farther was a prick well I can kill him again in heaven too just always remember that I am always watching in on you when I go up to heaven and I want you to know I love you so much and I give you this to represent my love for you.... your the best thing I ever did and I love you!" I looked down at her and she gave me a necklace with a picture of her inside it I still can't believe it was her she got bit she fucking got bit why her?

I looked at her and said "why did it have to be you I don't want you to go!" all she did was shake her head and smile "I can do it myself" I looked at her as she said this as I told her straight "No!" I saw that she was tearing up as she spoke again , "I have to while I still can!" she looked at me and whispered "I know how the safety works!" I smiled a Little as when I was younger I taught her about how the safety works on a gun I nodded lightly passing her my gun hesitating "i....i...i love you so much!" I told her as she told me, "I love you too my sweet sweet girl!" I looked at the rest as they started to walk out I said "I'm not going anywhere!" she nodded and held my hand tightly as I kissed her cheek and hugged her for the last time then after that it all went in slow motion!

She slowly loaded the gun and pressed on the trigger making her now lifeless body fall to the floor as I started to cry even more than I ever have in my whole entire life!
