Chapter 16: The New Friend and The New Enemy

General POV :

Everyone in the room was at the brink of panic attack and freaking out except Aidan .

When y/n noticed this she questioned him about it , and he said that he's used to news about murders since he was you know .... a murderer .

Then all of a sudden Marcy stood up like wonder women herself and said that how about the three of them catch the killer .

Y/n quickly shot down the idea like it was the most dumb thing she had ever heard and it was possible it was .

Aidan fortunately for y/n said that it's better to avoid danger rather than go near it .

And just as y/n's hopes were up then Aidan added " but can't say no to fun" and just like that they officially were self employed teenage detectives.

The 3 of them decided to go to the crime scene which literally was about a minute walk from y/n's and Marcy's house , the fact that it was this close raised red alarms in y/n's head .

And much to y/n's dislike , all three of them were in front of the crime scene house .

When they entered the house y/n and Marcy paled up and were about to throw up while Aidan looked unnaturally calm for being in a house that literally has blood stains everywhere.

They both were about to question him until they remembered who Aidan used to be and they whispered 'Right' to each other .

After an hour of useless investigation, the 3 of them found themselves in front of Chief Harbor who had found them .

They told the chief that they wanted to help with the investigation, and Marcy practically begged the chief . The chief was again about to say NO , but then he looked at them and a little realization flashed on his face and then much to y/n's discomfort he said okay and he gave them passes that will allow them to get details on this investigation.

It was unbeknownst to the 3 of them that the chief thought that the reason that the three of them wanted to help was because the police couldn't catch Ricky's murderer and so the three of them wanted to help to themselves get clouser .

But what was unbeknownst to all 4 of them that a person was watching all 4 of them from the shadows .

Y/n's POV :

I am friends with idiots . Who instead of avoiding danger run straight for it .

After we get photocopies in the crime scenes thanks to the help of Chief Harbor we return home .

After a late night of studying the files we found nothing .

Except Aidan .

Aidan said that the methods of this type of torture was familiar to him and he said he knew someone who loves this type of killing .

Marcy and I barged him with questions .

But Aidan said that he couldn't quite remember who the killer was .

We left it at that and then decided to go to sleep early cause it's school tomorrow.

The next morning we woke up we went to school .

After the first couple of lectures it was lunch time and we sat together like always .

But apparently that was about to change .

The new girl 'Allision' who had her first day of high school today came towards our table .

I know her name cause she was in our class today .
