Chapter 4: The Lost Friend

7 YEARS AGO (2013):-
Y/N POV:-
I was going to my home from school. Today was one of my friends birthday.
His name is Aidan .He is going to be 10 years old today . I am 9 months younger than him . He is a good friend but he is very sad sometimes.

Anyway I arrive home and I am greeted by the delicious smell of (favorite food) . My parents greet me and so I greet them in return .

My mom had cooked my favorite food. I decided that I will eat it and save some for Aidan as well .

After an hour or two my elder sister 'Jamie' arrives home . She is 13 years old . I love her and she loves me.

Anyway after we all eat dinner , my parents and sister go to sleep early . I asked my mom if I could watch TV and she said yes since tomorrow was weekend . She kissed me goodnight and left .

It was night time now and I had finished watching ( favorite childhood series) . I flip through the channels getting bored by the second .

I flipped to the news channel and was about to turn it off until something caught my eye.

The headlines were saying that Aidan Gallagher killed his parents and 13 other people !!!!

My friend Aidan  killed people !!!

I was quickly terrified of Aidan at that moment so much that I started to sob a little.

I was suddenly more terrified thinking that what if he is going to come and kill me next !! I screamed and that woke up my parents and sister . They came rushing down and asked what was wrong and I pointed to the tv while crying saying that he will come for me next .

My parents knew that Aidan was my friend and when they saw the headlines they gasped out of shock.

They immediately locked the doors and windows and assured me that I won't die. That night I slept at my parents room and forced myself to sleep.

The next couple of days passed and I got out of my initial fear partially and went to school . But people were giving me weird looks cause clearly they knew what Aidan did and that I used to be his friend . This went in for weeks until I couldn't take it anymore .

My parents thought that it would be best to move on to another city like New York City and forget about the past  and move on . My sister agreed , and part of the reason for that was that her close friends were also there .

I didn't want to go but at the same time I did. The reason was that I couldn't stay where Aidan could come at my doorstep anytime and probably KILL ME AND MY FAMILY!! The reason for not wanting to go was because I still had a friend or two who still lived here but alas we decided to move to New York City .

2 YEARS AGO (2018)
Y/N POV :-
It's been 5 years since my used-to-be friend now turned into a ruthless and emotionless serial Aidan Gallagher killed his parents . And he still is killing people, many many innocent people .

I also heard the news that he sent a letter to the police telling them about his victims and saying how much he enjoyed the killings of innocent people, children and families .

He was no longer that sweet boy I knew , he was a monster , a cold blooded monster that deserves no mercy . The only thing he deserves is to be locked up in prison for the rest of his life or maybe even a death sentence .

I HATE him alit for what he did  and is still doing . If I ever encounter him again I will be sure to do everything in my power to get him behind bars.

I had to go to therapist to come out of the trauma that Aidan might kill me but I have gotten out of it . I am still afraid but not that much . I think I have also completely forgotten his voice and how he looks like . But whatever I have moved on and I hope he gets caught before he kills someone else .

1 YEAR AGO (2019)
Y/N POV :-
I have successfully gotten Him (Aidan) out of my mind. I ignore watching Tv and avoid especially the news . Life has become so much greater for me . I am a straight A student again . The school students like me and so do the teachers . My parents are proud of me and everything in life going so perfectly. And I hope it stays the same .

CURRENT/PRESENT YEAR(2020)
Y/N POV :-
It's 2020 and I am 16 years old and I will turn 17 next year . My sister is 20 years old now and has moved out for going to university and is living with her roommate and she comes occasionally on holidays .

Life is soo much better . I am thankful for every moment I am living in right now .

I have great grades at school . I look great , I help people and students. I have a great and happy family and there is nothing I am afraid of or worried about .

THIS IS MY SEVENTH YEAR IN NEW YORK CITY . I GO TO NEW YORK BLUE COLLEGE. EVERYTHING IS GREAT AND THINGS CANT POSSIBLY GET BAD OR WORSE.
