Ruby's POV

It is the day of the World Cup and we all have to be up pretty early. I'm not all that mad about it. I barely sleep anyway. Not to brag, but I was up and ready before anyone else in the Weasley house hold was even awake. Today was also the day Hermione is supposed to arrive.

I'm excited to hang out with all of my friends this summer. Hopefully we all get to just be kids for the short amount of time we have left of summer before jumping in to any drama and life-threatening situations. Oh, crap. I probably jinxed it now.

After a while of sitting and reading a random book I found in Ginny's room, I walk downstairs to see that Mrs. Weasley is up, going around the kitchen and preparing breakfast.

"Oh, good morning, dear. Did you sleep well?" Mrs. Weasley asks.

"Yup. Like a baby." I lie. "Anything I can help with?" I ask her as she flips eggs.

"No thank you, dear. No offense, but your brother warned us to not let you near a stove. He said it would end in a disaster." She says with an slightly amused smile.

"He's exaggerating. It wasn't that bad." I tell her. She raises an eyebrow and I sigh. "Okay, it was a bit of a mess. But I eventually got a good pancake." I say and she laughs.

"It all comes with practice. I just want you to help Hermione wake the rest when she arrives. Arthur should be back any moment now."  Just as she says that, the fireplace lights up and we turn to see Mr. Weasley and Hermione with her trunk.

"Hermione!" I say as I run and give her a hug. I haven't seen her all summer so I was excited.

"Ruby!" She says with just as much enthusiasm.

"I'm so glad you're here. We girls are out numbered here and Ginny and I need someone else to gossip with." I joke.

"Well, I'm glad I'm here then. You've changed over the summer. Are you taller now?" She asks me.

"A little. Honestly not a whole lot different. You look great though. You seemed to have grown way more than me." I say.

"I'm glad you're here, dear. Can you and Ruby do me a favor and wake up the others? Breakfast is almost ready." Mrs. Weasley asks Hermione and I.

"Sure. Come on, Ruby." Hermione replies and we make our way up the stairs, on a mission to destroy everyone's slumber.

We wake up Ginny first. We knew that she was going to put up a fight so she was the first victim. We eventually succeeded and moved on to the twins. They took time too. I had to jump on their beds to get them to wake up and get ready. It eventually worked and we moved on to the last of the victims. Harry and Ron.

As we arrive to their room, Harry wakes up with a gasp and sits uptight. I notice him press his hand to his scar on his forehead and wince. Ron just continued sleeping.

"Having a bit of a lie-in, are we?" Hermione asks him with a grin.

"Hermione. When did you get here?" Harry asks.

"Just now. You?" Hermione asks.

"A few nights ago." Harry replies.

"Alright. I need to wake Ron up." I say as I go over and start taping him on the arm to wake up. He doesn't budge.

"Ron. Ron. Ronald!" I yell as I slap him lightly on the face. He bolts up and glares at me.

"Bloody hell, woman!" He yells. He notices Hermione and raises his blanket to cover his chest. I snort and roll my eyes.

"Oh, honestly. C'mon. Get yourself dressed or we'll miss the whole thing." Hermione says and she grabs my arm and drags me out of the room to give the boys privacy.
