Ruby's POV
After Snape's dramatic entrance, he smile smugly and eyed Sirius.
"Ah, vengeance is sweet. How I hoped I'd be the one to catch you." Snape tells Sirius, wand pointed in his direction.
"Severus-" Remus says, attempting to calm everyone down before things turn out worse.
"I told Dumbledore you were helping your old friend into the castle. And here's the proof." Snape says to Lupin. Welp, he's going to be in for one he'll of a shock when he find out I was helping Sirius. But maybe now is not the best time to being that up.
"Brilliant! And, as usual, dead wrong. Now give us our wands back. Remus and I have a not if unfinished business to tend to." Sirius says, approaching Snape. Snape puts his wand to Sirius's neck, making Sirius stop in his tracks.
"Give me a reason. I beg you." Snape dares.
"Don't be a fool, Severus!" Lupin says.
"He can't help it. It's habit by now." Sirius says.
"Quite, Sirius." "You're really not helping the situation dude." Lupin and I say.
"Listen to you two. Quarreling like an old married couple. The creature and the criminal." Snape says, completely ignoring me in favor of insulting the other adults in the room. Very mature of him. Though, I guess I'm not one to talk.
"Piss off." Sirius says, clearly not in the mood for this.
"Witty as ever I see. Tell me, will you be so irreverent when I turn you over to the Dementors?" Snape asks and Sirius reacts slightly. "Do I detect a flicker of fear? One can only imagine what it must be like to endure the Dementor's kiss. It's said to be unbearable to witness. But I'll do my best." Snape sneers. My eye widen.
"Dang, you must really have some pent up emotional trauma to talk about witnessing a murder so casually. Excited, even." I say in slight concern. I mean, he is a teacher. So I have a right to be concerned about this.
Snape's eyes harden. "Silence, Miss Denbrough!" He says and I raise my hands in mock surrender. He turns away and I notice Harry eyeing his wand in the spot where Lupin placed it. I reach in my pocket for mind, prepared to help Sirius to, you know, not get murdered.
"After you." Snape says to Sirius, gesturing to the door.
As the others start to go, Harry flashes to the table where Lupin left his wand. Harry and I quickly raise our wands to stop Snape.
"Expelliarmus!" We chant. Snape soars into the air and hits the wall with a this, sliding down. I cringe at the force he hit the wall and everyone stares at us in shock.
"I didn't expect that to happen." I say sheepishly as I place my wand back in my pocket.
"Harry, Ruby. You attacked a teacher." Hermione says in disbelief. I grimace with a nod and Harry looks a bit surprised from his actions as well. He turns to Sirius.
"You said Peter before. Peter who?" Harry asks.
"Pettigrew. He was at school with us. We thought he was a friend." Lupin says.
"No. Pettigrew's dead. He killed him." Harry says, pointing at Sirius who laughs bitterly.
"I thought so too. Until you mentioned seeing Pettigrew on the Map." Lupin says.
"The map was lying then-" Harry says in denial and I shake my head.
"The map never lies. Pettigrew alive. And he's right there." Sirius says pointing at the rat in Ron's hand.
