Weeks pass before you get any communication from Dabi; a short text from an unknown number, reading:
The warehouse. 11:00 pm. tonight.
Meanwhile you had been scoping out Endeavor Agency and paying more attention to details like the stuff in Endeavor's office, for one thing. You have pretty free reign since you're one of the top heroes other than the big man himself, and when you meet Dabi in the warehouse next to your apartment you give him info like Endeavor's computer password, his usual schedule, guard rotation schedules and the passcodes to both his office and the building.
"That's seriously all you got? Lame." Dabi scoffs from where he's leaning against one of the columns. The expression on his face has you wondering whether he's either plotting how best to kill you or he's just staring really hard because he can't see and needs glasses.
Either way, you don't care for his attitude.
"Relax." You tell him. "I know it's not much but U.A asked me to be a guest speaker a few weeks from now and Enji invited me for dinner with his family afterwards. His daughter insisted. I'm sure once I'm at the house I'll be able to whip up something."
"His family, huh?" Dabi mumbles. He pulls out a cigarette from his pocket and lights it with a finger, taking a long drag and not meeting your eyes.
You frown. "Something wrong?"
"Of course not." He breathes out the smoke in your direction and you stand, waving your hand around the air in front of you as you move farther away from him. "Do you have to do that in my face?"
"Change of plans." He says sharply before taking another deep breath of death and nicotine. "If and when you find something in the house, you're gonna have to take pictures. I can't be caught over there to check anything out myself."
As soon as he says this, you stand, your entire body tense and ready for a fight. "That wasn't the agreement. I tell you where and how to get your intel, and you do the criminal activity. Those were your exact words."
Dabi doesn't look at all bothered by your outburst and continues to smoke his cigarette without a care in the world. "Yeah? Well, things changed. And it's not like you're doing anything worth losing sleep over. Just do some snooping, snap some pictures and send them to me. That's it."
You say nothing, your head swimming with all the possibilities of this new proposition. Looks like you were gonna have to get more involved than you thought. Dabi finally notices your silence and looks at you, his eyes boring into you with a fiery intensity despite the look on his face. "You want to take him down, too, don't you?"
"Well yeah..." You grumble, tapping your fingers to your lip as you think. "Fine." You decide. "Just this once."
"Great." He waves the cigarette around as he speaks. "I can work with what you gave me today, but you better have something good for me after that dinner."
With that, he walks out of the warehouse and off into the night before you can say anything.
You just let it happen, already used to his abrupt exits, and you go home for the night.
Sometime in the next three weeks a break in was reported at the agency and you, of course, "don't know anything about it"...
The day you're scheduled to speak at U.A, you're in Endeavor's office, getting your things together in order to leave. Hawks is right there with you and, like always, he's teasing you about something and you're *this* close to snapping.
"Ah, come on, kid." Hawk's hand plops down onto your head to ruffle your hair and you smack his hand away, trying not to lose your cool. "Stop calling me kid, you're not that much older than me." You snap before pointing your finger in his face. "And don't touch my hair."
