What rouses you from sleep the next morning is the smell of lavender. Something soft tickles your nose and when you move, you realize you have your arm wrapped around someone.

A small smile forms on your lips and you hug Touya tighter, resting your forehead against his back as you breathe him in. He groans sleepily, his hand brushing yours which is pressed against his chest. You're absolutely not prepared for when he says, "Solar.", his voice rough and an octave deeper from having just woken up. A blush rises to your cheeks and you're really glad he's facing away from you. His hand closes around yours and for the first time since you met him, his touch is warm and he turns over to face you, a sleepy half smile on his face as he lifts your hand still in his in order to kiss your fingers.

Your heart flutters, to say the least.

Bedhead Touya is a blessing you'll cherish for the rest of your life.

"I've been meaning to ask you something." He slides his arm under his pillow and gets comfortable, looking at you with sleep still in his eyes.

You prop yourself up on an elbow, arching an eyebrow at the audacity. "Wow, no good morning? How did you sleep? What do you want for breakfast?" You try, but Toyua ignores you completely. "So, what's your real name, anyways?"

"I slept well, thank you." You snap and he grins at you and nudges you with his free hand. "Come on. Tell me."

"Wouldn't you like to know, weatherboy."

The smile slowly melts off his lips. "...what?"

"Nevermind." You mutter. You know his real name, so it's only fair if he knows yours you suppose, so you tell him and he nods appraisingly. "Huh. Not what I would have guessed, but it suits you."

"What's that supposed to mean?"

Instead of answering your question he changes the subject. "Now, I gotta tell you something important."

"Oh? What is it?"

"It's a secret. Come closer." His eyes twinkle with mischief and you inch closer, trying to prepare for the unexpected. "Closer." He says and you find yourselves nose to nose. He leans his head so his mouth is by your ear and whispers, "Your breath stinks."

Your eyes widen and you rear back, smacking your arm against his chest. "Asshole." You turn away from him dramatically and swing your legs over the side of the bed, fully intent on marching towards the bathroom to brush your teeth.

Back on the bed Touya laughs. A real, genuine laugh which sounds like music to your ears. You feel his eyes on you and you turn back to look at him when you're halfway out the door. He's leaning back against the pillows with his white undershirt all disheveled and bunched up around his ribs, his arms crossed behind his head and a lazy smirk playing at his lips. His eyes are lidded as he shamelessly looks you up and down.

"See something you like?" You taunt and his smirk turns into a grin. "Absolutely."

"Of course you do." You were expecting him to say something like that and you continue on to do your task, leaving Touya on the bed.

After brushing your teeth a bit more aggressively than usual, you shuffle out the bathroom door and are met with silence. When you go to your room Toyua is no longer lounging in your bed, nor is he anywhere else in your apartment and you're starting to think that he just up and left when you see the kitchen window open, the curtains blowing ever so slightly as the early morning light streams in. When you poke your head out the window, you find Touya sitting there on the fire escape, enjoying the sunrise which is something you'd think strange if it weren't for the grave expression on his face.
