Going Home

Y/N POV

The day of the Vytal festival arrives and to kick it off is team RWBY vs team ABRN. Team RWBY struggles a little but in the end they win and advance further. We exit the arena and head to the fairgrounds to grab a bite to eat. We order our bowls and Weiss pays for it.

Yang: "What's the occasion?"

Weiss: "Consider this as thanks for choosing me for the doubles round."

Her card gets throws back and we see that it's been declined. I sigh and snap my fingers.

Y/N: "Try it again."

The dude looks at me and swipes the card again and this time it says approved.

Weiss: "How?"

Y/N: "Magic."

Ruby: "You really are full of surprises."

Y/N: "Thanks my little rose."

Yang: "Huh?"

Ruby: "Y/N views me as his child and that's what he calls me."

Blake: "What about us?"

Y/N: "The same, I view you all as my children."

Ruby: "But I'm the favorite."

Y/N: "Yes you are."

I pat her head and her smile spreads from ear to ear. We all dig into our bowls of noodles when team JNPR joins us.

Pyrrha: "Mind if we join you?"

Y/N: "Not at all."

They all sit down and order some noodles as well. After cleaning out five bowls each we make our way back to the arena to kick off the doubles rounds. They go by and soon we watch the singles rounds start with Yang and Mercury kicking it off. They both run to attack when the sky goes purple and every electronic in the area starts beeping.

Y/N: "Oh crap."

I look to the heavens and see my brothers descending onto the arena floor. The whole place gasps at their appearance when Light speaks.

Light: "Y/N! We know you're here!"

I jump out of my seat seat and bolt for the exit when I hear a snap and get flung into the arena.

Y/N: "Hey~ guys."

Light: "We saw what happened."

Y/N: "I don't know what you're talking about."

Darkness: "You destroyed the house again."

Y/N: "Are you sure it was me, because I don't recall doing that."

Light: "You are in so much trouble."

Darkness: "And you know what the punishment is."

I go wide eyed remembering what it is.

Y/N: "No please! I beg you! Anything but that!"

Light: "We wouldn't have to punish you if you had just stayed and explained instead of running away."

Y/N: "Damn it."

I rise to my feet and reveal my true black featureless figure. I rotate my shoulders and pop my neck finally being able to return to my true height. I get ready to leave when my friends jump into the arena and run to me.

Ruby: "Y/N, where are you going?"

Y/N: "I have to return home for a little while."

Blake: "Will you be back?"

Y/N: "Yes. Not soon but eventually."

Jaune: "We're going to miss you."

Y/N: "I'll miss all of you too."

Light: "Time to go."

He summons a portal and we walk through returning home.

*timeskip*

My punishment is finally over and I can return to my friends. I put on my human disguise and open a portal to Beacon. I see it completely empty when I feel everyone else's presence. I follow it to the auditorium where Ozpin is finishing up a speech.

Ozpin: "I know all of you will become Huntsmen and Huntresses that will do so much good in this world."

Everyone claps and cheers at the graduating class and when they walk off of the stage I decide to join them.

Ruby: "We did it, we finally graduated."

Yang: "Seems like only yesterday we started."

Ruby: "I just wish Y/N was here to see this."

Y/N: "He's already here."

Ruby: "Ep!"

She jumps into Yang's arms and when she sees me she jumps onto my chest.

Ruby: "You came back!"

Y/N: "Of course I am, I said I would didn't I?"

Yang: "You were gone for three years, we were starting to think you had forgotten about us."

Y/N: "I'd never forgot about you guys."

Jaune: "Now that you're back, what do you want to do?"

Y/N: "Well, this is a special occasion, so let's all go get wasted!"

Ruby: "Yeah!"

Y/N: "Sorry kiddo, you're not quite old enough to drink."

She pouts and we all laugh at her reaction. I teleport all of us to Jr's bar and we spend the remainder of the day catching up while just getting sloshed.
