Aubrey Hart

"You're making it too hot!" Harry winces as the steaming shower water hits his skin.

"That's the point." I roll my eyes at his dramatics, pushing him so I can be under the stream instead of him.

"Well, now I'm cold." He continues complaining as the air is now the only thing hitting him, the perfectly hot water streaming over my hair and down the skin of my back.

"I don't know what you want me to tell you." I shrug as I cover my light green loofah in body wash, lathering it up with my hand to get the full effect of the soapy substance.

"Just turn it down a little so my skin doesn't melt off, and we won't have any problems." He attempts to negotiate, stealing the sponge from my hand and sending me a serious look as a sort of threat.

"Or what?" I raise a brow with a light smile, calling his bluff since I don't think he's actually going to do anything.

He shakes his head, nonverbally telling me that I made a mistake. I roll my eyes at him, reaching forward to try and take the loofah back so I can wash my body.

He moves his arm so I can't reach it, then flings it in my direction so bubbly white soap splashes onto my face. I close my eyes at the contact, bubbles covering my right eye, left cheek, and the entirety of my mouth.

I wipe my mouth with the back of my hand so I can laugh, then wipe my eye so I can fully see him. He's laughing like an idiot, wet curls hanging in his face as he keeps splashing me with the soap.

"Asshole!" I try to swat the loofah out of his hands and splash some of the soap on him, failing miserably.

Soon enough, almost every part of my body without water streaming down it has soap covering it. Both of us are laughing in the spacious shower, my hands collecting some of the soap off of me and smearing it on his chest.

"Hey!" He chuckles when is finally get him back.

I keep laughing as he continues covering my body in bubbles, getting it all over in my hair so I have to pause and rinse it out. I can't help but laugh at all of it, no matter how stupid and childish a bubble fight in the middle of a shower is.

When he gets my mouth again, I reach up to wipe the bubbly substance off, but am stopped by more contact to it that makes me suck in a breath as my eyes fall shut automatically.

I'm caught off guard when I realize he's kissing me despite the soap covering my face, hands holding my hips that still have crescent-shaped marks from his nails digging into them the other day. The green sponge is now on the shower floor, what used to be his leverage now being an afterthought to him. I kiss him back, of course, both of us now being under the hot stream of water as his body gets closer to mine.

We've been distracting ourselves with little things like this since we woke up, trying to avoid thinking about anything that has to do with the texts I'm getting. I was going to shower alone before Jade came, but he insisted on staying. I think he's stalling because he doesn't feel right leaving me alone. I also don't remember the last shower I took by myself, if I'm being honest.

We brushed our teeth, ate breakfast, then came right up here. While alone time has always been my favorite, time with him just might top that.

What happened to me?

I taste the rose scented soap on my tongue since he didn't give me time to wipe it off, the tang of it making me cringe a little. Not enough for me to pull away, but still. His lips both go to my bottom one, mine latching to his top.
