Chapter 20

The Field

My eyes flutter open from the sun's rays, which blinded me.  Sitting up, I rub my eyes.  My eyes felt dry, along with my sticky face.

I guess I cried myself to sleep... Wonderful.

I force myself to get up from the couch.  With a couple tries, I finally get up.  Looking around I see Nagito talking with Fuyuhiko, Nagito kept his calm state as usually while Fuyuhiko seemed somewhat calm as well.  Which was rare seeing the Yakuza since he was always pissed about something.

I cough to get their attention In which they didn't say anything nor bat a eye at.  They just kept talking.  I cough again louder than the first one.
Nothing.  Not even a eye looking at me.

"AHEM." I loudly say looking at them.  Fuyuhiko pulls something out of a little pocket and throws something at me.  I catch it to see it was a Cherry Cough drop.  I frown.

"Wowwww ok baby face!" I throw the red Cough drop into a garbage can. 

Fuyuhiko says nothing and continues to talk with Nagito.  Anddd still ignoring me!  Well, I'll just ignore him!  Hah! 

A small buzzing noise comes from my phone and I pick it up.

BugBoi: Gonta says good morning Oma-kun!

Good Morning!

BugBoi: Gonta is ready for meeting today!

Wai- SHIT.  Today I have to meet with Gonta! 
Looking at the time on the phone, which read 11:20, panic soon came Ten minutes.   Since I was already up from the couch, I bolt to the bedroom.    Cursing to myself, I grab my clothes.

(Time skip to after Kokichi is done getting dressed sponsored by Kokichi's fear of insects)

"H..ey.. G.on..ta.." I balance myself on the near by tree as I try to catch my breath. 

"Hello Oma-kun!" Gonta greets with his big smile.  Confused, Gonta then speaks again "Oma-kun seems to be out of breath, why is that?"

"I.. Ran..a mile..." I gasped out.   My head was light headed from how long I was running for. 

"Oh.  Gonta thinks we should head to store.  Oma-kun can get Grape Panta." 
I put a thumbs-up as we start to walk to the closest store. 

It was a small store, with that of basic white walls inside.  With wooden floors that looked like could make you slip.  Me and Gonta split up around the small store. 
I instantly went to the direction of the glass refrigerators that had all the drinks.  Walking next to it, I look up and down until I find the drink I was looking for. 

(Another time skip because author is very lazy to when Kokichi pays for his Panta and had made it to their destination)

"Gonta thinks place is beautiful!"   The  field stretch out to the lush forest, which is where it stopped.  Sunlight rays over the array of different colors of flowers.  Those colors of gold yellows, light ocean blues, Apple reds, and Grape purples.  Grasses of different heights scatter everywhere onto the field. 
It was like a artist had just created a canvas that was a beautiful work of art.  Emotions and their soul were put into that piece of art.  You can feel the happiness and just sink into a calm state just by looking at it.

"Yup, sure is."  This place brought back tons of memories.  Happy memories.  Those memories were forgotten until yesterday, in which they dug themselfs out of the forgotten. 

"How to Oma-kun find this place?"

"I found it quite a while back.  I had just forgotten it until I remembered about it." 

I sit down onto the soft grass as I look out to the beyond of the fields.   The tree in which we were under blocked out the sun.  This was the perfect place to finally talk to someone and to atleast least get some help. 

"Alright."  I look up at the kind giant.  As much as I want to start from the beginning, that I'll probably have to talk with someone different..  For reasons. "Let's take this to the currents events that are happening right now."

Sorry for the long time that it took to publish this and how short it is.  Reason why it's short is because I want to have that as a separate chapter since it's just going to be  about Kokichi telling Gonta about the recent events.
