"You know I'll always be by your side, and when the chips are down we'll survive!"

Leo Loud put his heart and soul covering the Mass Effect song, "We are One!"

Since Earth became his new home, he truly felt at home with the Louds.

But since he saw the Blue Moon, he felt nostalgic for home...a brief call from home however changes everything.

"Go for Leo Loud...what?  When!?  I'm so sorry, sir...I know she meant so much to us.  Maybe I should tell everyone?  On my own time?  Okay.  I wish this call was under better circumstances, though.  We still on for the-okay, thanks.  See you then..."

A heavy air started to fall in.  Lori especially, was concerned. "Leo...what happened?"

"On of our Councilmembers passed on...Councilwoman Catherine.  She was instrumental to the success of the Grand Gateways Sector.  Without it, the connections to the Multiverse would be limited.  She was family to me, and..."  silver tears ran down his face.

"Guys, I don't think those tears are natural..." Lana said.

"Y-you're not wrong, Lans...these are, G-grief Tears, a rare substance on our world.  When a loss like this is felt...these tears break out...normally they're harmless, but Earths composition is making them cut into my skin.  We need to go to Delphi Prime treat this, otherwise...they will do damage that will be difficult to repair." Leo said, wiping the substance away, cutting his hand in the process.

"Hey kids, we got...Lisa did you make your older brother cry Mercury again?" Lynn Sr. started to ask, but was interrupted by Lisa.

(Heh, Luna Sr., maybe in a gender swap universe!)

"It was not me father...he lost a member of his own family on his homeworld.  We need to go and comfort him in his dark hour." She said.  "And judging by the marks cutting through his face, we should hurry...those tears should be saline based, and not so painful!"

"Yeah, we should fix that soon..." Lynn Jr said, "his weird tears are eating the carpeting."

Luan being Luan, she made an ill-timed joke: "that's not all he's eating, considering he hangs out with-" A solid right floored her. "Hey! I was making a-"

"Brah, read the room!  The Sound Of Silence is tearing him apart!" Luna said, glaring at Luan, considering the punch she delivered.  Besides, we don't need to know what they are up to all the time!"

"Thank you Luna...and Luan, I'd appreciate you not to blab to everyone about what Maggie and I do near the end of every date night...besides, you cheated me on Boardwalk Ave. when I clearly had the board!" Leo ground out through his teeth.

On a side note, the Louds and the Firefrost Twins definitely agreed that Monopoly will no longer be played in their respective households.

"Guys!  Focus here!  We need to help our bro here!"  Lana said.  "Yeah!  Linky, you got any plans?  Cancel them!" Lola added.  "Tell Clyde to stop by later though...he's a good man to go to when going through the stages of grief!"

"Need help writing a eulogy?" Lucy chimes in, scaring everyone.

"Not now, but I'll let you know when I'm ready for it, ok?" Leo responded.

"Okay, guys...we should not all go at once...they might get suspicious, even if we are there for emotional support."  Rita said.  "So we will drive to the starport, and take a ship to Delphi Prime! To be fair, I did wanna go...but considering the situation, we will try to respect the fallen..."

"Thanks mom."  Leo said.

Lynn Sr added his 2 cents: "Even if you're from another world...we are your family.  And...that's enough to brighten anyone's day, even yours!"

They all hugged him in a Loud hug.  It felt nice.

"Thank you all, I know this is beating a dead horse-"

"Gasp, how dare you mess with such a majestic creature!?" Leni admonished.  She's not that good with metaphors.

"But I humbly thank you for easing my mind and heart.  We still gotta take care of that Grief Tear thing though..."

"Alright"

"Rock on Space Man!"

"Bobby, we gotta postpone our date, we have a grim mission to attend to.  I'll fill you in later."

"Sam we will be out of town for a while, something heavy just hit close to home!"

"Clyde, get the grief meals ready, we're gonna be needing them for a while!"

"Haiku...you already got a small shrine going?  Perfect timing as always...send it to the Main Tower there.  Be careful of those interstellar shipping fees, though"

Everyone was making arrangements and plans to make sure Leo didn't go though this pain alone, even Lola.

After that was all said and done the made the move to fly towards the home of the Delphic Council.  But someone will take advantage of the situation and things will be difficult.  Can Gennai keep his cool?  Or will his growing sorrow give way to a rage that will be impossible?  Stay tuned for part two!

AN: I wrote this during a very dark time in my life.  I am better now, but it was hell before.  This will at least have a good part 2 conclusion...and this may be miking it a little but I thank you all for comforting me in my darkest hours! 😇

I'll push past my sorrow, And I'll break through the dark, and even though things might look so eerily stark...

I'll heed these words as I continue the fight!  Protect all Fear None and Carry the Lifelight!

Till then, part 2 will come soon!
