The Glyph Of Love

Luz's POV:

Writers note: hey guys, sorry for not updating in a while, I had a little writers block, and I drifted off to work on other things, like my life, I will start posting new chapters more regularly (I hope) and I also want to thank you all for all of the support, with that- I hope you enjoy this chapter.

2nd period I had abominations class, yep, with amity. Everyone was learning, something something, I dont know, I wasn't listening. I sat behind Amity, just to make sure she doesnt peek in my notebook, and I start scribbling down ideas to ask her out to grom c'mon no, thats not it wait I think I got it! No *the bell rings* oh- shoot. Its lunch time.

I start walking to class, picturing me and amity dancing with me in grom "Luz! Luz! Luuuz!" I hear Amity yelling "woah!" I yell and fall to the ground, she helps me out and we end up face to face, staring at each other's eyes, an inch away from a kiss. My heart pounding like a drum, I wanted that moment to last forever. "um so, amity, thinking of asking anyone out to grom?" "no," she answered nervously "wh- why would I be doing that haha" and so we both walked to the cafeteria, making nervous small talk.

We got to the cafeteria and Boscha, willow and Gus took amity aside and started whispering to her, what is that all about? Anyways, I was left with Viney and Emira flirting and kissing, and Edric trying to talk to Viney about their group project, spoiler alert, they never got it done. I took out my notebook and started writing ideas, ideas, ideas, no, no, no! nothing was good enough. "wat'cha workin' on?" I hear Edi and Emi saying "nothing!" I quickly reply and start blushing- darn it- I forgot I still had a crush on those two Viney quickly snatched my notebook and started reading it. "you have a crush on amity?" Viney said "WHAT?" Edric and Emira said "why dont you let the whole school know?" I said "sorry" they all whispered back. I looked over my shoulder at Amity, they were still talking, fortunately, they didnt hear a thing.

"ugh" I felt like dying, my head was rested against the table and all I wanted was to go home. They kept comforting me and telling me that it's all going to be okay, and then Edric said "pffft. You shouldnt even worry. Everyone knows that mittens has a cru-" Emira and Viney blocked his mouth and signaled him to zip it, "Amity has a what?" "craving! For a cake!" Emira said "yeah!" Viney added "amity loves cakes!" and then I got an idea, I started scribbling in my notebook, but it wasn't perfect yet. the bell rang, and Edric said: "good luck! See you at home!" but I wasn't going to ask her out. Yet. Still, there is a week left until grom after all.

Me and Willow were heading to our next class, plants, "so, willow, what were you and amity talking about over there that was so important?" I asked " um homework? Yeah, homework!" Willow said "did amity say anything about me?" I asked "n- no!" willow quickly replied nothing? Not a word? This is gonna be hard. Willow and Boscha are as tough as a rock. They would never tell me what she likes. You know who isnt though Gus.

After class I sprinted over to illusions, shoved away Edi and Emi, grabbed Gus and dragged him over to the cafeteria. "What do you know? Tell me, now." I said, in the lowest voice I have, "Gus, what. Do. You. Know." "about what?" he said nervously "oh nohoho" I replied "I saw you were talking to her earlier. About what?" "t- to who?" he asked, nervously "amity! Who else?" I yelled, maybe I was going too hard on him "homework!" he said, and then the bell rang, and I had to sprint over to history, because it was on the other side of Hexide. I pretended to take notes but all I could think about was Amity. The bell rang, the school day ended, and I still had no idea about how to ask amity out

I had to go to the one to the one who raised her no, not her parents, Lilith. I came home and yelled: "Eda, I need your shaft!" 'yeah sure!" she yelled from the attic, I grabbed her shaft, hugged king and went on my way, to the emperors' castle. I hate it there. The guards tried to stop me, but at this point, can anyone stop me? I dont have an ID, but I just sprinted through the hallways, busting doors open. "Lilith" I said, holding my stick in a horizontal position, holding it away from my body pointed towards the wall, signaling that I dont come for war, a familiar tradition in the boiling isles. "I need your help. And I won't come back home empty- handed" I yelled "guards came but she gestured them to go away "Luz," she said in a soft voice and pat my had using an illusion glyph "its ok, come here" I went over, and she made me a chair to sit in "you know her best" I said, trying to calm myself down "I know.. who?" "amity. Tell me everything you know about Amity." "Amity?" Lilith said, in confusion "well, I haven't talked to her in a while, but I know that she loves grudgby, the color pink, and that she has a crush on you" Lilith dragged out her sentence, realizing what she's done, I froze.

I- wha- what? No, there's no way. I tried to get words to come out, but they got stuck.

"I- I mean- who's Amity?" Lilith said and started giggling out of fear "I've never met an Amity in my life, that is such an odd name." "Lilith" I finally got the words out "does she, actually?" Lilith sighed in embarrassment "yes" I grabbed Eda's staff out of the corner of the room and started running, booking it, 'this is good, right?' I asked myself 'than why, someone please tell my why, does this feel so wrong.'
