♛ Chapter Nine ♛
Dear Stanley, March 22
My jaw dropped as I turned back around to face Thaisyn. Pulling my arm, I sat down with a plop.
"See, you do care!" She concluding.
"Shh, no I don't, I just don't want her to see me." I lied. It's not that I didn't care, it's that I want to show him what he is missing.
"We need to spy on them." Thaisyn said.
"Way to be blunt." I smiled.
"So, you don't want to spy on them?"
"Well, of course we need to spy on them!"
"Okay, okay, gosh."
I turned to look at what she was doing. She had her menu up and was scanning over it. It's frozen yogurt, it's not that hard to decide which flavor to choose. The doorbell rang again, and it was Seth. She smiled and laid her menu down. He leaned over the counter and kissed her.
"So predictable." I mumbled.
"What?" Thaisyn asked.
"Nothing." I muttered again.
"I don't even see why she agreed to date him." Thaisyn said. "She is way too pretty for him."
I turned to face her, sending her a glare.
"You're supposed to hate her with me." I complained.
"You have to admit, she is way out of his league." she defended. I turned my head to face the girl. Thaisyn was right. She was pretty. She was tall and skinny, with long strawberry blonde hair that curled at the bottoms. She was very perky, sitting up very straight in her booth. The only thing wrong with her, to be blunt, was she was with him. Which, I really couldn't blame her for, because I had also been that dumb.
Seth got up, to do something, and Thaisyn and I decided to make our move. We stood, and scurried over to her booth. She was looking back at her menu.
"Hey!" I almost screamed. She jumped in her booth.
"H-hi." she stuttered.
"Um, so you're dating Seth now?" I asked.
"Uh, yeah. What about it?" she countered.
"Well, um, he's her ex," Thaisyn said, gesturing to me. "And they broke up because she caught him cheating with some girl at a party."
"Okay." she said. I mean I didn't expect a thanking and a hug, but just okay?
"Wait, what do you mean 'okay'?" I asked.
"I mean, okay. How am I supposed to know you are telling the truth? Seth asked me here today, and we are really happy together."
"Wow, okay, you are not understanding what I am saying." I mumbled under my breath. "Okay, Seth CHEATED while WE were together." I repeated.
"Okay, and I am saying I don't believe YOU. " she said, putting emphasis on nearly every other word.
I looked at her deadpanned. Why wouldn't she? I mean I am just trying to help her from heartbreak.
I sighed. "Okay. Well, where is your little man anyways?"
"He, being the sweet adorable guy he is, is going to go get our frozen yogurt." she said and with that, she got up to find her man.
We went to sit down at our table, and we placed our order of frozen yogurt. When our yogurt arrived, the waiter set our food down on the table.
Upon him leaving, the girl came back.
"I am so sorry for not believing you." she said.
By the looks on our faces, you could tell we were not surprised. But the fact that she actually came to us, to tell us that we were right, was beyond my amazement.
"What happened?" I asked deadpan.
"I walked over to the counter to find him," we nodded in comprehension. "And I saw him talking to another girl."
"That's it? They were just talking?" asked Thaisyn, bluntly.
"No, then he sat down beside her un her booth, and started kissing her!" she screamed.
My eyes widened, I knew Seth was heartless, but I didn't know he would rush out of this new relationship just like that.
"I am so sorry girl." I said, hugging her. She sat down next to me in the booth.
"It's okay, we had only been dating two days." she laughed a very forced laugh. "What's your guys' names anyways?"
"I'm Thaisyn."
"Cassie."
"I'm Alyson. And I have a plan."
"What?" we both leaned in to hear her plan.
"We get revenge."
I looked at Thaisyn and we shared an agreeing nod. We exchanged nunbers and agreed to meet up at the frozen yogurt shop tomorrow after school.
I think this is the start to a beautiful friendship.
That's all for today Stanley.
Yours truly,
Cassie Roberts
