♛ Chapter Three ♛

Dear Stanley, March 21

Today is the big game, and I was ready! I'm in sixth period algebra, writing on your face. Mrs. Gibson was asking if anyone knew what a vector was. After a moment of silence, you know who stood up. "Yes, Seth?" She asked, waiting for the definition.

He pointed both of his hands out like a bird's wings, with his forefingers pointed to hold number one. "It's got both direction," he started. He then started thrusting his hips in the air. "And magnitude." Everyone laughed. Confused, Mrs. Gibson told everyone to simmer down.

After a moment of everyone continuing to laugh, someone shouted hashstag Despicable Me Inspired!

After realizing the quote she said, "Sit down, Seth." while trying to muffle a laugh.

After the bell rang, I grabbed my binders and shuffled out the door. I tried to run away from the little flirt but he was right on my tracks. He knocked my books to the floor and picked me up by my waist. He leaned into me. Our noses were touching. He was staring into my eyes. One again, we were interrupted by the sound of someone clearing their throats. This time it was Reese. Instantly, the moment was over and Seth dropped me to my feet. He bent down and picked up my books. I snatched them from him as I ran off the English, leaving Seth and Reese standing alone in the hallway. Dang. I thought to myself. I still haven't confessed to Reese and Thaisyn about my feelings toward Seth. What are my feelings toward Seth? Do I like him as a friend? Or as a companion? It was just last week when he was threatening me

Or was he?

Seconds after the bell rang, I ran through the oak doors of my English classroom.

"Miss Roberts. Try to get here on time." Mr. Williams said shooting me a glare, referred to as the look of doom.

"Yes sir." I mumbled under my breath.

I walked to my desk in the back of the classroom, in front of Thaisyn. Unfortunatly, I have to pass Seth to get there.

"Don't be late next time Miss. Roberts." He mocked.

I stuck my tongue out at him childishly. Only one more class period until the game. I thought to myself.

"Let's go red. Let's go white. Let's go beat those Porcupines!" We cheered. The band played the Arkansas Fight Song in the back ground. I was cheering in front of the bleachers as Thaisyn was behind me, cheering me on.

At the half-time show, we did our dance routine. The crowd cheered loudly as we exited the field, moving back to our spot in front of the bleachers. Soon, we did our chant for our favorite line-backer, Reese.

After the tenth grade game was over, we stayed to watch the eleventh grade game take place. I hadn't made it to the bleachers yet, when something peculiar caught my eye. Reese had made his way up the bleachers and was sitting next to Thaisyn. They were holding hands. I made my way up the side stairs, going to the middle of the bleachers. Reese leaned up and kissed her cheek. Whoa. Thaisyn then turned her head, and they kiss on the lips. They held for a long time. Then she put her hands on his face as she brought his mouth to hers. I walked up to them, in the middle of a full make out session. Reese soon opened his eyes. They were staring at each other.

"When did that happen?" I asked, smiling. They both jumped and franticly tried to explain. I wasn't mad because I have yet to tell them about Seth. Although, Reese has probably already figured this out.

"Guys. Whoa. Stop. I'm not mad. I actually have been secretly shipping it for years. I think it's adorable." I told them.

"Whew." Thaisyn said.

"How long have you been dating?" I asked.

"We're not official yet." Reese said uneasily.

"Speaking of which?" He raised his eyebrows at Thaisyn, as if asking for approval.

"I think it's about time." She giggled

"Thaisyn Grace Harrison, will you be my girlfriend and go steady with me?" he asked.

"Absolutely." Thaisyn agreed.

"Aww. So adorable!" I cooed. "Now there is something I've been meaning to tell you about Seth-" I was interrupted by a noise echoing over the football field.

Over the intercom I heard a thundering boom of husky voice. "Excuse me." the intercom announced. "May I have your attention? My name is Seth Martin. Is Cassie Roberts in the crowd?" His voice boomed throughout the field, followed by yes' and cheers. "Cassie I have been meaning to ask you something." The spotlight shone on me.

"What is it?" I impatiently asked.

"Cassie Roberts, will you go out with me?"

Thasiyn kept whispering, "Say yes. Say yes. Omg yes. Yes. Yasssss. Say it. Say it."

"Yes." I announced to the school.

"Woohoooo!!" The voice boomed. Seth ran out of the speaker's box and scurried down the many stairs of bleachers. He ran to me and picked me up and spun me around. It was like a fairytale.

I am now sitting on my bed, smiling like a goofball. I have tried to stop, but I can't. No matter what I do, I can't. It's getting late.

That's  all for now Stanley.

Yours truly, Cassie Roberts.
