8 - First bond

[Minjung's POV]

"Bless the noblesse."

A vampire. He was a vampire. My wrist started to burn, it felt like a fire lit up on my skin. His harsh motions stopped as he was aiming for my neck. He got frozen in place. His mouth was wide open, just a few centimeters away from my neck as his white fangs were widely showing. It was like a barrier between his fangs and my skin. The older boy pulled away and looked at me in the eyes. His eyes were red as a blood moon but they seemed to show fear. I groaned at the pain on my wrist as it didn't stop burning.

"Your eyes...They..." His voice trembled as I slid down on the floor. I screamed in pain as it got worse. The older boy crouched down in front of me as the rest of the boys came rushing to the room. Gasps could be heard as a mark started to appear on my wrist. Heeseung pressed his thumb on my mark and rubbed it in circles, the pain started to slowly go away. I looked up at the group with teary eyes. They looked shocked at me as they silently started to whisper about my eyes. I felt myself slightly calm down.

"I didn't know you were..." He trailed off as he stared at me. I felt betrayed. I harshly yanked my wrist from his grip as I stared at the mark. I felt how I got angrier by every second that passed.

"Who do you think you are vampire!? Do you just casually walk around and bite people? I didn't want to awaken but it's all your fault! You betrayed me, I guess that you usually betray people." I said while glaring at the boy in front of me. He looked down on the ground guilty as the room fell silent. The only thing that could be heard in the room was my heavy breathing.

"Speak up you coward and explain to me what happened!" I was raging at this moment. I had no idea what had happened. The boy quickly looked up.

"I awakened you master. The moment I put my thumb on your mark while it was burning made me yours. I am now yours master to use as you please." He said in a calm tone before bowing his head. I couldn't believe it.

"Stop with the 'master' crap! I don't want you. You're a filthy vampire going around and draining people on their blood." I shamed him. He again looked down on the ground as he started to sob. Did he get sad over my harsh words?

"I will better myself so I can be worthy of your attention." He said as tears fell down his cheeks. I felt my anger leave my body as I saw the older boy. I rubbed his back slightly as I tried to comfort him. He sighed at my touch. I looked up at the rest of the group that still stood there frozen.

"You guys better tell me everything you know." I said as I stood up to go back to the living room. Sunghoon and Jay sat down with me on the couch as they started to tell me everything they knew.

"Heeseung will always be your first bond. He will feel your emotions and your touch puts a fire on his body, in a good way. The vampire's duty is to look after the noblesse emotionally and physically." Sunghoon began as he blushed at the word 'physically'. I looked at him weirdly.

"You can always bond with other vampires but no one can take Heeseung's first place, if he doesn't die. To make it simple, if you bond with a vampire they will act like your protector. The thing is that they will feel emotionally connected to you but they don't care if it's one sided. They just don't like to see you with someone else, and that's where having different bonds can be complicated." Jay said as he tried to not sound too confusing.

"What happens if I have a romantic relationship with another noblesse?" I asked as I massaged my templates.

"You just can't. The nature won't let you. It will make you feel sick to your stomach the closer you are. You would probably throw up if you kissed, it may be blood that you throw up." Jay continued as he sounded more unsure this time. I leaned back on the couch as I let out a heavy sigh.

"I guess you're all vampires huh?" I asked the obvious question. They both nodded. My head was pulsing by the information. I hopelessly lifted up my wrist as I looked at my mark. I agreed with myself that I would just figure out everything on the way.

My phone received a call as I picked it up without looking at the name.

"Hello?" I answered defeated.

"Minjung? What happened? We're they annoying?" Beomgyu said on the other line. I sat there silently. They sure were annoying.

"Anyways I'm coming to pick you up. I'll be there in ten." He said as he waited for a response. I clicked away the call as I started to pack my things silently. Sunghoon and Jay looked at my sulking figure worriedly. I started to drag my feet towards the exit of the house. I put on my shoes as Heeseung stood in front of the entrance.

"Move." I sternly said without looking at him. As on command he moved to the side without saying a word. I opened the door to walk out but I turned around before I closed it.

"You better apologize to both me and Beomgyu." I said to the older boy before slamming the door shut.

Beomgyu came shortly after. I jumped in as I felt tears already streaming down my face. Beomgyu quickly grabbed my hand as he looked worriedly at me. I slowly lifted up my arm to reveal my mark. He looked at it for awhile, I could feel his tears drip on my mark.

"They awakened me..." I said quietly. A loud sigh could be heard from the male. He let go of my arm as he was about to step out of the car. I quickly grabbed his wrist as I didn't want him to start a fight with them. We both knew that it would happen sooner or later.

"Did they explain anything to you? Who's your first bond?" He asked, sorrow could be heard in his voice. I told him everything that they explained.

"Heeseung is my first bond." I said. Beomgyu slammed the wheel angrily. I gulped at his sudden action.

"They left out the most important part. Did they tell you why it was so important for a noblesse to have a bond?" He asked as he was clearly frustrated. I shook my head at his question. He leaned back as he groaned in annoyance.

"Do you know how a noblesse stays alive?" He asked defeatedly. I shook my head yet again at his question.

"The noblesse feed on vampires. They take a part of the vampire's lifespan to stay alive and the vampire takes a part of the lifespan of humans to also be able to stay alive for their noblesse." He explained as I looked at him with fear. So that's why vampires feed on humans? So they themselves don't die?

"And you need to do physical things with your bond to gain their lifespan or else you'll die. That's probably why Sunghoon blushed." Beomgyu said as he rolled his eyes. I looked at him with confused eyes.

"Physical as in touching him where he wants to be touched. The easiest and fastest way to gain the lifespan is to kiss him. It's not too much and it doesn't last long." He said as his face turned cold as he probably imagined things. I nodded at his explanation. I held his hand as I looked down at our hands.

"Will you still be with me? Even if you can't love me?" I asked with a weak voice. I needed to know. He gently squeezed my hand.

"Of course, I'll be with you till the end." He said as a smile appeared on his lips, showing off his dimple. He started the engine as he drove away from the mansion.
