15 - Special trait

[Jungwon's POV]

I held Minjung's hand as I lead her towards my bedroom. My breathing was irregular because of my excitement as my vision flickered red as my eyes shifted back and forth. I quickly opened the door and lead her inside. I let go of her hand as I closed the door behind us.

She went over to my bed as she tucked herself under the covers. She looked so cute. I turned off the lights and laid down on the bed with her. She snuggled up against me and laid her head on my arm. I felt a knot form in my stomach. I kissed her forehead carefully. She looked up at me as she pulled me closer to her lips. She gave me a quick peck on the lips before giggling and turning away from me. Our lips only touched for a second but it made me freeze. Her lips touched mine. The kiss felt innocent yet needy.

I got pulled out of my thoughts when I heard her heavy breathing. She fell asleep while my head had been spinning. I slowly closed my eyes as I tried to fall asleep. But how can I do that when an angel lies beside me?

[Minjung's POV]

I woke up the next day by my phone getting bombed as it buzzed every second. I lazily opened my eyes to see who was harassing me. '184 missed calls from Beomgyu' I harshly sat up in the bed, accidentally pulling up Jungwon who was hugging me. I dialed his number, not even a beep was heard on the line before he picked it up.

"What is going on!? Are you dead?!" He yelled at the other side of the phone. I held the phone away from my ear as he kept nagging me. I pulled it back to my ear as the line went silent.

"I'm sorry I forgot to tell you that I slept over. I didn't want to bug you in the middle of the night." I apologized drowsily. He sighed.

"Fine but I'm picking you up around lunch, I wanna go on a date with you." He demanded. Date. It made me feel sick to my stomach.

"Don't say the word 'date' it makes me wanna gag. But I need to go home and change before we hang out." I told him. The phone went silent again as I waited for his reply.

"Fine." He said before hanging up. I stared at my phone weirdly as it took me back to my home screen. I really screwed up this time huh.

"I'm joining." Jungwon said beside me. I turned towards him, shocked that he was awake. I slowly nodded my head as my thoughts were somewhere else. I was hungry.

I walked downstairs as Jungwon trailed behind me. I jumped down on the couch beside Heeseung who was playing games with Ni-ki. They paused the game as they both looked at me.

"Could you drive me home?" I asked the older boy who looked dumbfounded at me.

"She's going on a date with me." Jungwon quickly answered as he sat down beside me on the couch. I rolled my eyes at him as he put his arm around my waist.

"No, Beomgyu asked me to hang out today so I wanna go home and freshen up. Jungwon invited himself to come along." I explained as I puffed up my cheeks. Heeseung put down the controller on the table before he turned towards me.

"I can give you a ride home if I get to join too." He answered while smirking at me. I glared at him as I was imagining Beomgyu nagging me the rest of the day for bringing them along.

"Fine." I sighed defeatedly as I stood up to leave.

"I'm coming too noona!" Ni-ki exclaimed as he turned off the game and rushed towards his room to change. I dragged my feet towards the car to wait for them to get ready to leave.

Ni-ki was the first one to arrive at the car. He stepped inside as we both sat in the backseat together while waiting for the rest. He seemed nervous as he was quiet while fiddling with his hands.

"Noona..." He started as he shyly looked up at me. I turned my full attention to the younger boy in front of me, waiting for him to continue.

"I think I'm ready now." He said while his cheeks heated up. I looked at him confused.

"I can see that you're ready to go Ni-ki." I giggled at his silly statement. His face turned clueless while staring at me.

"No noona, I think I'm ready to bond with you. I really wanna bond with you. I only have eyes for you." He explained as he held his gaze at me. His mocha colored eyes showed that he was sincere. I gulped as I nodded.

"Now?" I asked him to make sure that this was what he wanted. He nodded excitedly at my question. I gripped his hand and lead it to my mark. I gently pressed down his thumb as I embraced the pain that was about to take over my body. I groaned as I leaned towards the younger boy. He stroked my hair to calm me down. I slowly pulled away as I felt the pain ease.

"Could you feed on me now noona? Just a little bit." He begged. I smiled as I shook my head at him.

We arrived at my apartment as the three boys followed me closely behind inside. I opened my wardrobe and picked out a more casual outfit for the day. I walked towards the bathroom to take a shower as they were still following me.

"Could you guys not follow me like dogs?" I asked as they stopped in their tracks, realizing what they were doing. I closed the door while they all tried to avoid my gaze as they started to wander around in my apartment.

[Heeseung's POV]

Minjung walked inside the bathroom, leaving us free to roam around in her apartment. The scent her home gave was comforting, it smelled like freshly picked juniper berries.

I walked inside her bedroom again. It was decorated with light colors, making the room almost shine in the daylight. I sat down on her soft bed as I scanned the room. She had a framed picture of her and Beomgyu on her nightstand. It made me feel jealous as I looked at the picture. I suddenly heard someone humming as their footsteps got closer to the room. I looked towards the door to see Jungwon walking inside.

"Hey hyung what are you up to? Wanna watch some TV with us?" Jungwon asked as he smiled widely. 'Why is noona taking so long? I wanna go on a date already!'. My eyes widened. I heard Jungwon's voice but his lips didn't move.

"What's wrong hyung?" He asked me worriedly. 'Is he okay?'. Yet again, I heard him speak without opening his mouth.

"How do you speak without opening your mouth?" I asked in disbelief. The younger boy looked at me weirdly. 'What is he talking about?'. I felt how I was about to go crazy. I hastily stood up from the bed as I started to rummage in Minjung's bag. I pulled out her book about vampires as I flipped it to the page she was currently on with her bookmark. I kept flipping the pages as I finally found it.

'Vampires can only come in contact with the noblesse's blood if they willingly feed them their own blood. By doing that, the vampire may obtain a special trait as they evolve. Examples of common traits: Pyrokinesis, teleportation, invisibility.'

I gasped as I realized what had happened. I had gained a special trait. I could feel butterflies in my stomach. Me, the first bond, got a special trait by Minjung. I proudly showed the page to Jungwon.

"I can hear your thoughts." I simply said before slamming the book close in his face. He silently whined as the air from the book hit his eyes.
