i wake up before anakin, i hear my phone ding. i look at it and it was a group chat with me my mom and my dad, rex wasn't in it.

mom: ben we want you home after school today

dad: yes we want you home.

me: why?!

mom: we don't want you around that boy.

me: anakin? come on he's my best friend

mom: he disrespected us!

me: because dad slapped me

dad: i only did because you were treating me like shit

mom: you don't ever disrespect us! home after school!!

me: whatever

i put my phone down, i hear anakin turn over, i look at him and he's awake "good morning." he said happily "morning" i said softly. "everything okay?" anakin asked, i couldn't get the words out, i loved him so much, he's my safe place. i don't want to leave, i don't want to go home, and i most definitely don't want to leave my brother there alone. my parents show no mercy. "everything is fine babe." i reply and get up to grab clothes "obi, we don't have to leave for another hour. and your getting ready? obiiii i'm cold" anakin complained, i couldn't just sit there and do nothing. i crawl back over to the bed and lay down. "hello there" i said curling up next to anakin. "hello handsome" he replied

after a while of cuddling rex comes in "let's go guys!!" i sat up "we're awake we're awake get out so we can change" i said and shook anakin who fell back asleep "ani ani wake up" i said shaking him "hmmm" he said tiredly "we need to get ready for school" anakin gets up "fine" he said and he goes to grab clothes and get changed, i do the same. "ani?" i said before walking out, he looked over at me "my mom wants me home after school today, but i don't want to go." i said and looked down at my feet and started fiddling with my belt out of nervousness. "oh. well you should probably go. don't want to make things worse ya know?" he said sarcastically and left "ani?!" i said but he already left.

i walk downstairs to see him at the kitchen table with rex eating. "hey ani, hey rex" i said and sitting down "hey ben, hungry?" rex asked "no i'm not." i said and went on my phone to watch youtube.

once we had to go we got in the car and i started the car to leave. we are heading to school and the whole car ride was silent, we get to school and i park next to ashoka. "hey snips" anakin said as he walked out "hey skyguy!" i ignored everyone and just walked straight into the building.

i get to my locker and grab my stuff for my first period. i hear footsteps approaching. he turned around and it was barrass and her friends. "what do you want?" i asked leaning against my locker "you have some balls newbie" barrass said and put her hands on each side of me to lock me in place. "you're not going anywhere kid." i just sigh and look away "i want nothing to do with you now leave." i said trying to leave, she keeps me in place, her other friends came over beside her. one of them punched me dead in the face, barrass laughed, "keep going" she said her other friend slapped me hard enough to make a red handprint. i lost all control and kicked her area and ounch her across the face, i back kicked and punch the two girls, one was in front the other in the back. both on the ground. the principal comes over to stop the fight "Ben, come with me."i froze "but- they started it!!" Principal Yoda didn't believe me. "i said come with me." i put my head down and follow yoda, i look over and see anakin, rex, and ahsoka all looking at me in shock.

i sat alone in the principals office waiting for instructions. "Ben Kenobi, we are going to have to call your parents to let them know what has happened and that you'll be heading home. you can't be putting your hands on other kids" i got so frustrated at that, how did he not see them punch me first "they hit me first! it was self defense!" and not anything surprising. he didn't believe me. "please don't call my parents, could you maybe call Anakin's mom? i'm staying with him for a bit." the principal nodded hesitantly.
