Chapter 3

"How did I end up being the one to recruit the newbie." Kuroo sighed.

"Did you say something?" You say, looking at the rooster haired male.

"N-no. I didn't." He replies, looking away from you.

"Thought so. So. You work for a Mafia, huh? Where's your hideout?" You ask.

"Huh? Well, gee I mean I don't think my boss wanted you to know where we are. So I might have to blindfold ya." Tetsurou said.

"Ha! Good luck with that one!" You reply, laughing.

"Wha? Please. My boss'll kill me." Tetsurou whines.

"Sorry. Not gonna happen. You can try though." You tease.

"Fine. I think I might." Tetsurou says.

He attempts to blindfold you but his efforts are in vain. You somehow managed to lock his arm in an armlock behind his back. Holding tightly.

"Hmm. What a predicament you seem to be in. Oh well. Where's your base?" You interrogate.

"" Tetsurou whined and willingly showed you the way. His arm still locked behind his back.

"Can you let go now?" Tetsurou whined.

"Hmm. How about no, Tetsurou?" You teased.

"God you can be such a tease, you know that!" Kuroo complained.

Time Skip:
You eventually arrived at the Nekoma headquarters and got Kuroo to lead you to his boss. He lead the way and sighed when you let go of his arm.

"Did you find her?" Someone asked.

"Yeah I did. But she's a pain in my ass." Kuroo replied.

"Wait. Your the guy from the alley!" You add.

"So? What of it?" The guy responds.

"Nothing. Though I think you need better muscle. This guy was so easy to manipulate that it's laughable!" You say.

"Huh. So then, you're saying you're a better fighter than my 'muscle'?" The voice asks.

"Kenma!" Tetsurou whined.

"I want to see how this plays out." Kenma replies.

"Ara? So you want me to fight Tetsurou one-on-one? Gladly!" You reply.

"Seriously?!" Kuroo exclaims.

"Yes." Kenma says with a serious expression on his face.

"Ok then. You. Me. Outside. 5 minutes from now. Let's see who the strongest one is then." You say.

"Alright then." Kuroo replied.

You headed outside with Kuroo following behind. Kenma had gone to gather his subordinates to watch the fight take place. The all circled around the two of you and everyone watched the fight take place.

A guy on a whistle blew it to insinuate the start of a fight. You charged straight at Kuroo and threw a punch, which he blocked though he was moved back slightly. You kept on with a barrage of attacks before he attempted to you. But you jumped backwards, avoiding the hit. The fight kept on going until you landed another strike on Kuroo. Eventually, you managed to land a finishing blow, knocking Kuroo clean out.

"Ara, Ara. What a fight. I haven't been this pumped up in a while!" You exclaim.

"My. My. You're quite the fighter." Kuroo says as he comes to.

"Why thank you. Tetsurou." You tease.

"God! How long is gonna take before you call me by my first name!" Kuroo whines.

"Two conditions. 1. You save my life. 2. You beat me in a fight. Fair and square." You say, counting to two.

"Oh? Is that all?" Kuroo says with a smirk.

"What? Don't think that's gonna come easy you little bitch!" You shout.

"Why am I a bitch?!" Kuroo exclaims.

"Cos you are." You reply, sticking your tongue out.

"Let's get down to business, shall we?" Kenma says, interrupting your banter session with Kuroo.

"Oh right. Sorry boss." You say, rubbing the back of your neck.

"I'd like you to go undercover. With one of the drug companies. I feel they are hiding some ploy to attack one of the mafias in Japan." Kenma says.

"You can't seriously be sending her on such a mission!" Kuroo says.

"Daijōbu. I'll be fine. Besides. That gives you the possibility to save me." You say, winking at Kuroo.

"You sneaky..." Kuroo says.

"So... am I staying here with you lot then?" You ask, twirling on your feet.

"Yes. I believe you are going home to retrieve your belongings?" Kenma asks.

"Yeah. I'll be fine going on my own though. So don't worry about me." You say, giving Kenma a closed eye smile.

You went to leave the Mafia bounds before asking Kuroo for his phone number so you could message him to pick you up when you're done. You got his number and then soon left, heading back to your house. As you were walking home, you felt someone following you. You quickly ducked into an alleyway and messaged Kuroo. Feeling it was safer to text than to call.

Well do you want me to come?

Nah. Too risky. Just find a way of pinpointing my location. I'll leave my location services and phone on so you can track me.

"I'll have you know I can whoop your ass with ease." You reply.
