You begin to clean up the area before heading out of the clinic and closing the door behind you. You normally walked while listening to music, but something told you not to tonight. You began heading in the direction of your house, cautious the whole time. You felt as if someone was following you, but you weren't sure if that were true. You eventually arrived at your house and closed the door as quick as you opened it, making sure to lock the door after yourself before heading to bed.
You headed up your stairs and to your bed, falling asleep the moment your head hit the pillow. You thrashed around a lot in the night and eventually didn't really get a decent night's sleep. You woke up after hours of moving around in your sleep and chose to just stay awake instead. You went downstairs and to your kitchen, heading straight for the kettle. You grabbed it and headed straight for your tap, filling the kettle with enough water to brew a hot beverage.
Once the kettle finished boiling, you began making some chamomile tea in hope it would ease your worry. You finished making the cup and decided to let it sit so it wasn't too hot when you drank it. You headed upstairs once again and had a quick shower before changing into some leggings and a hoodie. You brushed out your hair and headed downstairs again, heading straight for your kitchen. You picked up your tea and then plopped yourself on your sofa for three.
You finished your tea and placed the empty cup on your coffee table. You decided to wash it once you got back from your jog. Even though it was two in the morning, you still decided to go on a run anyway. You hoped it would clear your mind. You grabbed your headphones, keys and phone before leaving your house. You plugged your headphones into your phone and then slid it into the pocket of your hoodie. You then began to run into town, passing by the lonely, gloomy alleyways on the way.
You felt something briskly touch your arm. But when you darted your eyes into the alleyway, nothing was there. You were on edge. And very rightly so. Someone was following you. And you didn't know who. You had a feeling that it might be something to do with the guy from earlier that you helped. But you weren't sure. You felt a gaze following you but thought nothing of it.
I'm just imagining things. You told yourself this over and over.
~meanwhile, at Johzenji's base of operations~
"Damn. What the hell happened to you?" Someone asked."Nekoma happened. That's what." The blonde replied.
"Wait. How are you all patched up? You never carry a kit with you. You're too reckless like that." The person said.
"Cos some girl got involved. Now Nekoma and me know what the fuck she looks like. She shouldn't have fucking gotten involved. But, she'd be handy to have around. She ran some rundown clinic that looked like shit from the outside. No doubt Nekoma are already tailing her. Those sick fucks." The blonde replied.
"Huh. So what are you gonna do about, Terushima?" The person asked.
"Absolutely fuck all. Nothing I can do." Terushima replies.
~third person POV~
You continued walking down the street. Caution rising through you. You decided to stop a second. Your breathing erratic and your heart pounding through your chest. You stepped into an alley, hoping the "person" that was following you had gone. But, all your efforts were in vein when a person placed a hand on your shoulder, causing you to jump out of your skin and turn to face them."You're a sneaky one, you know that?" The voice spoke.
"I'm sorry? Who are you?" You reply.
"Someone you should watch out for. But that's not what we're here to talk about." The voice replied.
"So then what are we here to talk about?" You said, slightly annoyance in your tone.
"Oh just the fact that you managed to stop a stand-off between Nekoma and Johzenji." The voice replies.
"Oh? So that's what happened in the alley. Well, I don't see how that's your concern. Besides, it's not my fault I helped a wounded citizen." You reply.
"But he wasn't just your average citizen." The voice replied.
"You know what. I've had enough of your questions." You say to the voice.
You lunged at him and used the wall to jump high enough to land on his neck. You pulled him to the floor and held his arms behind his back so he couldn't pull out any concealed weapons.
"Huh. So you're sneaky and strong." The voice replied.
"Wanna tell me who you are now?" You say, tightening the grip on his arms.
"Hey. Hey. I only came to talk. But not that this has gotten out of hand. Why don't you just come with me?" The voice says.
"That's not what I asked. And why should I come with you?" You reply, venom lacing your tone.
"Ooh so we have a feisty one. Because, we could really do with your help." The voice replies in a tone that almost says he didn't want to have to ask this.
"And why would you need my help?" You reply.
"Because. It was only going to be because you could patch us up. But now that this has happened. I guess we could use another fighter." The voice replies, looking to the side.
"A fighter? What are you? In a gang?" You ask.
"Yes actually. Now could you get off me?" The voice asks.
"Fine." You say, getting off.
"So. Will you?" The voice asks.
Now that the person has stepped into the light slightly, you could see their face. They were a male and had rooster-like hair.
"Hmm. Fine. But you better ensure my safety." You reply.
"Do we really need to?" He asks, dusting off his shirt.
"Ok. Good point. Now for the love of god. Tell me your fucking name." You say.
"Woah. Calm down. It's Kuroo. Kuroo Tetsurou." The person replies.
"Hello Tetsurou. I'm Y/N L/N." You reply.
"Please just call me by my first name." He says, sighing.
"Hmmm. Nope!" You beam.
"How did I end up being the one to recruit the newbie." Kuroo sighed.
