Ok so for this FanFic, I've decided to write it as a Mafia AU. Sticking with the characters of Haikyuu (all rights to Haruichi Furudate), I have decided to include the schools as well. Also, every character in this fanfic is in their 20's because it's an AU.
Within the Mafia, there's one main leader with separate leaders for every school. So there's one person who commands everyone, then there are leaders underneath him. So each school has their own leader.
Oikawa is the leader of the Mafia itself (thanks to my brother for the idea). I chose Oikawa because I think he can be manipulative when he wants to be. And also I think it's quite fitting though Kageyama could work too. But we're sticking for Oikawa on this one.
Nekoma's Leader is Kenma and Kuroo is his second-in-command.
Karasuno's Leader is Daichi and Suga is his second-in-command.
Inarazaki's Leader is Atsumu and Osamu is his second-in-command.
Date Tech's Leader is Moniwa and Kamasaki is his second-in-command.
Aoba Johsai's Leader is Oikawa and Iwaizumi is his second-in-command. (He's in charge of the whole Mafia so of course he leads a faction)
Fukurōdani's Leader is Bokuto and Akaashi is his second-in-command.
Shiratorizawa's Leader is Ushijima and Tendō is his second-in-command.
Johzenji's Leader is Terushima and Bobata is his second-in-command.
I hope this explains how the structure works within the Mafia. The leaders of each group is the rest of their superiors. So the structure works as... (you know what, I'll just give an example)
