Chapter Twenty Two: Trouble At The Library

Five and I woke up early and were on look out. We see the doctor guy form Meritech come out. Me and Five spatial jump into his car. Five is in the front and I'm in the back. As soon as the man takes his seat Five has a knife to the mans throat.

"One chance that's all you've got." Five tells the man.

I lean closer to them.

"One chance to tell us exactly what's going on in that lab." I tell the doctor, I give him a death stare and he looks scared.

"I- I manufacture prosthetic devices for fake patients. I bill the insurance companies and sell them for cash on the black market." He spits out.

"Including eyeballs?" Five asks.

"Yeah, they're my biggest seller. I mean, they sell like hotcakes. I- I've got a list, a waiting list, probably 20 buyers." He tells Five.

"So, the serial number we told you?" I ask the man, he looks at me.

"Uh, could've already been bought. Y- yes off— off the books." He tells me.

"We are gonna need that list, Lance. Names and numbers, and we need it now!" Five raises his voice at him.

"I don't have it. I mean, not on me. The only copy's in my safe at the lab." The man looked scared shitless.

"Well, you start the car, then. Cause we're going on a field trip." Five takes the knife away from the man.

"Okay." He puts the keys in the ignition and drives.

As we pulled up, there was lots of smoke and flames. No, no no no no. Shit. Five spatial jumped out of the car and ran, I did the same and followed him.

"Five no!" I don't want him to get hurt, he kept going.

As the building was about to explode I jumped on top of him. And we both flew back, we both landed on the hard concrete. I held onto him. Minutes later he groaned, siting up with me still cling onto him.

"Are you hurt?" I ask him biting my lip.

"Thanks to you I'm okay." He holds me.

I cupped his face with my hands and kissed him.

"Don't ever do that again you big asshole."he laughed.

"I don't make any promises." I sat up.

Later on me and Five headed to the library, maybe we could do some research. When we got there I pulled Dolores out and a bottle of Vodka. Five just looked at me.

"Don't you wanna have some fun." I laugh.

"We have stuff to do, we don't have time." He looks down at his books.

"Old man." I mumbled under my breath and that gets him.

"Just this once." He tells me and takes a big swig.

I laugh and we drink the night away. Neither of us were sober. After the bottle was gone, me and Five were all over the place.

"Where are you're parents." A lady who I assumed worked here asked us, I let out a soft giggle.

"I don't know what your saying lady, I'm 58 years old." I lean on Fives shoulder.

"No your not, your thirteen." He tells me and we laugh even harder.

"Look, you both are gonna have to leave or I'll call security." He looks angry, raging bitch. "I'm gonna have to call the police." Just then two others show up.

"Hi." I wave with a big smile, the two men talk to each other.

"Let's get you out of here." I now see the two men as Diego and Luther, Diego takes Five and Luther tries to grab me.

I try to flee but he still catches me, Five had Dolores in his arms.

"But I wanna say goodbye to Linda."Luther practically drags me. "No stop, get your ape hands off of me!"

Eventually I give up and Luther picks me up bridal style. With my drunken state I fell asleep. I wake up with Five bletching, I laugh.

"If you vomit on me..." It was Diego.

"You wanna know what's funny? Aah! I'm going through puberty." I lean up and Five scoffs. "Huh, Twice.

"Hey me too." I shout loud enough so he can hear me. "We drank that whole bottle didn't we?"

"Yeah we did, well that's what you do when the world you love goes bye-bye." He said in a saddened tone.

"Poof, it's gone." I whip my hands up and I hit something, I hear a groan. "Oopsies." I laugh.

"What are you guys talking about?" Five asks his brothers.

"Two masked intruders attacked the Academy last night. They came looking for you two." Diego scoffs. "So I need you to focus, what do they want?"

"Hazel and Cha-Cha." Five mumbles.

"Who? You know I hate code names." That was Diego.

"Ah, the best of the best. Besides me, of course." Five tells them.

"Hey what about me!" I chime in.

"And y/n." I smile lightly.

"The best of what?" Diego obviously wants to know more but with me and Five being very drunk, we could not focus.

"You know, Dolores always hated when I drank." I say. "She said it made me surly."

"Hey!" For the love of god, Diego. "I need you to focus. What do Hazel and Cha-Cha want?" Five smirks. "We just wanna protect you guys."

"Protect us? We don't need your protection, Diego. Do you have any idea how many people I've killed?" Five was right we don't need their protection, we have each other.

"No." Diego answers.

"I'm the Four frickin' Horsemen. The apocalypse is coming." Five leans back and turns over to vomit, absolutely disgusting.

Diego takes us all back to his place, he sets Five down on the bed and me next to him. I curl up on him with me moving to lay on top of him. We fell asleep.
