Chapter Seventeen:The Eye

Fives POV•

It had been three hours since Y/n has fallen asleep. I couldn't help but glance at her, she was so beautiful. I, earlier dozed off for maybe half and hour. I was pretty exhausted, but I have to find who this eye belongs to. I have to save y/n, I have to save the world. I then remembered one of the conversations me and y/n had a long time ago. We wanted to start a family of our own, but with the apocalypse and constantly running out of supplies, we didn't think it was a good idea. She was really bummed about that.

Out of me and her, I think she wanted it most. After all she's been through, she deserves it. She deserves to be happy. When me and her would go scavenging for any supplies we could find, we would come across some slightly broken frames with pictures in it. In the picture showed a family, a happy family to be exact, they looked so happy. We agreed that we would start a family of our own once we saved the world, we grew older and I left for the commission. I never wanted to leave her. She was always sad that we couldn't have our own family, me leaving her for the commission topped it off. I'll make her happy again, I'll save the world for us, then we'll have our own family.

I herd a few movements, I thought y/n had woken up. But no, she just switched sleeping positions. She snuggled up closer to me, she looked so adorable. Her cheeks were rosy, long beautiful eyelashes, her round and small plump lips that were slightly parted, and her long hair. And some pieces of her hair had fallen onto her face. She moved again. I noticed she was holding my hand close to her chest, I hadn't even notice that she had done that, I thought that my hand was in her side. I grew tired and fell asleep.

About an hour later I looked at the time. Shit. Meritech opens in 15 minutes, I have to get there in time. I jumped up out of the back of the car and sat in the drivers side. Y/n's head plopped down on the seat, damn it. I woke her up, good going Five. She reached her hands out looking for me with her eyes shut.

"Five? Where did you go?" She asked me. "Y/n I'm up here I'm the drivers seat, I didn't mean to wake you. I'm sorry, it's just that Meritech opens  in fifteen minutes and we need to get there in time." She told her. I felt really bad that I had just woken her up.

"Five baby it's okay I understand." She told me. That made me feel a little better. She had gotten more sleep than me and still looked tired.

She sat up "Five, how much sleep did you get?"  She asked me. "About and hour and a half." I told her. It really wasn't a bit deal, I feel fine.

"Five! Why didn't you sleep? You know it's important." She scolded me.

It was nice that she cared but really, I'm fine. She doesn't need to worry about that, we just have to save the world then we all will be happy again.

Y/n's POV•

He knows that it's important to get plenty of sleep. "Five! Why didn't you sleep? You know it's important." He just sat there silent for a few minutes. "Five?" I asked him. I wanted to know why he didn't get any rest.

"I was watching you last night. You just looked so adorable in your sleep, I couldn't help but look but look at your gorgeous face." He said.

My cheeks grew red and so did his. I got out of the back and hopped into the passenger seat up front. Five started the car and put his hand on my knee before turning to look at me.

"I love you." "I love you too Five." I said back and we drive away.

After about fifteen minutes we pulled up to Meritech. We walked in and Five had the eye clutched in his hand. We made our way to the elevator and went upstairs then a man stopped us.

"Uh, can I help you?" The man asked. Five held up the eye to show him. "I need to know who this belongs to." Five told the man as he put his hand down.

"Where did you get that?" He asked. "What do you care." Five told him. "We found it at a play ground actually." I told the man. "Must have just-" Five clicked his tongue. "Popped out. We wanted to return it to its rightful owner."

"What a thoughtful young man." The lady at the front desk shouted out at us before returning to her work. "Look up the name for us please." I asked, trying to be nice.

"Uh, I'm sorry, but my patients records are strictly confidential. That means I can't help you-" "yeah, I know what it means." Five said with a little sass.  "But I'll tell you what I can do, I can take the eye off your hands and return it to the owner. I'm sure he or she will be very grateful. So I can just-" the man pauses and reaches for the eye but Five pulls away.

"Yeah, your not getting this eye." Five said with even more sass. I love it but honestly this man was annoying.  He was getting on me and Fives's nerves.

"Now listen here young man-" Five stopped him before he could finish and grabbed him by the collar, bringing him up to Fives face. "No! You listen to me asshole. We have come a long way for this, through some shit your pea brain couldn't even comprehend, so just give us the information we need and we'll be on our merry way." Five told him up to his face.

I walked over to the man and Five and got in his face. "Oh, and if you call him 'young man' one more time, I'm gonna put your head through that damn wall." I said while pointing to the wall on my right.

"Oh dear." The lady at the front desk exclaimed. "Call security." The man said.

Five let go of the mans collar and shoved him back in the process. Five took my hand and we both teleported out side and walked to the car.

We sat down "that man was getting on my nerves." I said in annoyance. "Me too.Wanna go back to the academy?" He asked me. "Sure." I replied. 

After I said that Five started the car and we drove back to the academy. I was still angry, we didn't get the information we needed. And gosh that man was so annoying.
