A/N - Okay so this is waaaay overdue but I forgot people read this fanfiction.... Haha! Yeah, so this is the chapter. It's extremely long, I appologize. Madoka was pregnant this whole time, if I forgot to put that down. (Also, Madoka is Lin's wife) Umm... Yeah, so this will be the third Night. Enjoy! P.S. Yes, I basically looked for excuses to rid myself of extra characters - it's hard to keep track of everybody and I am trying to get Mai and Naru together so hush.

Day 3

"I understand if you all are concerned about your safty. If you feel the need, you may leave. But I'll have you know I am not leaving until we crack this case. Understand?" Naru said sternly.

"There is no way in the entire freakin' world that you could possibly get me away from this case. It's too personal," Mai seethed. Everybody raised an eyebrow, and Mai blushed.

"Uh- Da- I uh... I mean..."

"Mai, If you don't want to explain to everyone why it's 'personal', then shut up dummy," Naru responded cooly. The brunette assistant stuck her tounge out, but stayed quiet.

"Well, is it bad that I want to leave?" Yasu said gently.

"No, it's perfectly reasonable. You are a young man with his whole life ahead of him. You have a girlfriend and family. For that matter, you all have families. I strongly suggest you go home," Naru said, surprisingly sincere. Yasu nodded, and packed up his stuff.

John had to leave, too, but not because he was afraid. Father Tojo, of John's local church, had an urgent exorcism that needed John's immediate attention. Mosaco also left, so she could help a filmstar friend who tells her that there's a ghost in her dressing room and refuses to work because of it. Monk stayed, because he knew Mike as a friend and wanted to help him. Ayako was going to stay, because she didn't want to leave Monk, but the pony-tailed monk didn't want her to risk it. Finally, the agreement was that the shrine maiden and the monk would come here during the day and investigate while Mai and Naru slept. Lin was also going to stay, but suddenly he was forced to leave because Madoka was going into labor, but he promised he would would be back in two days.

~Time passes.... it's now 10:00~

"So.. It's just us," Mai said as they watched Monk and Ayako drive away for the night.

"Yes. It's just us for the next two nights," Naru echoed softly.

"Oh CRAP!" Mai exclaimed suddenly.

"What?" Naru asked curiously.

"I totally forgot to tell you my dream!" Mai exclaimed. The narcissistic ghost hunter simply raised an eyebrow.

"Yeah, I had this crazy dream. Actually, we were in the security office. And the phone rang. But... it was different. Instead of the phone-guy talking, it was garbled and hard to understand, in fact I had barely managed to hear one line clearly. It was : 'Ah, the joys of creation,'. Strange, huh? And then, suddenly there was a Freddy suit. It was different though, it was bright gold instead of brown. But the eyes were the worst. They weren't the normal animatronic eyes - they were just tiny pinpricks of light. And the weird thing was, it just sat there. I don't think it even had an endoskeleten. And as I stared at it, suddenly it popped to life and grabbed me, screaming, and I woke up," Mai explained in a rush as they made their way back to the security office.

"Interesting," Naru murmured.

"So, what's the plan?"

"You're the expert here, Mai," Naru said softly.
