A/N: *Cowers in a corner* Yes, I know. I'm an awful human being for forgetting to update for like four months. I apologize. Annnnnywho, in this chapter we meet Golden Freddie... Also, everyone is aware that Naru is the real Oliver Davis, right? And I'm sorry if I just gave out a HUGE spoiler.... but yeah, Oliver Davis is really Naru. So Naru has like clairvoyance and telekinesis and stuff. And this chapter will be short, but the next one will be much longer

"Mai!? Where are you?" Naru called out, limping blindly down the hallway, a single hand on the wall to guide him.
After the power had gone out, Mai had collapsed to the ground. But as Naru had reached for her, as soon as his hand had touched hers, she jumped up like she had been electrocuted and sprinted down the hallway. It was all in the span of seconds, but it felt like an eternity since the narcissistic ghost hunter had seen his brown-haired assistant. But he wasn't worried. Nope. Not at all. He wasn't worried about wether or not he would see her again, or if she was stuffed into a Fazbear suit, or if she was bleeding out on the floor.... No. Stop. She was fine. No matter what he told her, Naru knew she was smart. And.... kind of cute. And she was stubborn as hell. She'll survive.
But what if she was already dead.
"Mai!" Naru shouted again, a little more frantic. But he started to quiet down as he neared the Kitchen. He heard voices... There, he saw Bonnie and Chica, cowering in the corner. They must've heard him yelling, so why weren't they coming after him.
That's when he saw Freddy, or rather Golden Freddy. He was looking around, shaking his head, as if disappointed. His suit was stained with blood, wires frayed at the ends as they poked out from torn spots. He kept hunching over, and his movements were choppy. It was almost like he was hollow, with nothing holding him together. Except for of course, the spirit that seems to be controlling him. And his eyes.... were black. Souless. Evil. They held little pinpricks of light, like a flashlight viewed from the end of a tunnel.
"I thought I told you to get them both. Such a shame, you two, such a shame. Now the girl is running around and the boy is nowhere to be found. And to think, Foxy and Freddy are trying to help them?" Golden Freddy's voice was scratchy, like it hadn't been used in awhile.
Suddenly - much quicker than Naru expected - he lashed out, grabbing Bonnie and Chica by the face-masks.
"I need answers, and you aren't giving them to me. It's almost like you're worthless." Golden Freddy sneered.
"Pl-please sir," Chica begged, "We're trying! And they're still in the building, so we can find them!"
Golden Freddy cocked his head to the side, as if contemplating the offer.
"Well then, I guess you're bound to stumble upon them eventually... this place isn't that big.... Oh, and please keep an eye out for Foxy and Freddy. Wouldn't want him to screw everything up, now would we?" He released the two animatronics.
And, as an afterthought, he said, "And if I find out that you two were helping those humans..." He jerked a robotic finger across where his throat would have been if he had one.
"Umm.... I don't get it..." Bonnie whispered to Chica.
"He'll stick his fingers in our heads!" Chica gasped.
Golden Freddy face-palmed."No, you idiots! It means you'll be terminated!"
"Termi-whatta?" Chica asked.
"Gone! Permanently discontinued! Oh for God SAKES! YOU'LL BE SHUT DOWN! DEAD!"
Bonnie was nodding, as if he understood, "Yes, but does that mean we can't preform anymore?"
Golden Freddy huffed, "Do you not understand the concept of death?"
"We're animatronics! Death isn't part of our system. Duh," Bonnie gave him an almost 'obviously' look.
"So, how do you kill the security guards?" Naru muttered to himself, as he slowly backed away from the Kitchen. He needed a plan. And, he was kind of getting worried. And wow, he was still bleeding. He probably needed medical attention. But more importantly, where was Mai? What would be the first thing she did if they were separated? Why did she run off? How can the animatronics not understand the concept of death when they had taken many lives? Why did his heart beat a mile a minute when she touched him?
Jesus, he needed to control himself. Damn him and his emotions.
He needs a plan.
He needs to find Mai.
He needs to get answers.
A plan.
Mai.
Answers.
A plan and Mai and answers.
As he internally argued with himself, trying to wrestle down his feelings before they created more problems, he replayed the conversation in his head.
Suddenly, it hit him.
His feet started to move faster, but a feeling of dread (and maybe a little bit of resentment) washed over him.. He wasn't looking forward to this, not at all, but it was his best shot at finding his assistant. And hopefully, they can answer all the questions he has.
Now all he needed was a Fox and a Bear.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~A/N : Yeah, I know, I'm a jerk for ending it so soon when I haven't updated in like a year, but I liked where this ended, and it leaves me a good place to pick up next time I write. And I promise, next time I write will be a lot sooner! Rate, Comment, Vote, Do whatever! XD
