Here she is in a place she thought she would never be in, new places, new faces, and new scenarios were things Amy wasn't familiar with.
Amy lived her whole life with her parents in Pennsylvania and went to school there where she met the father of her kid, Brian!

Amy thought that he was the love of her life, that he was the one! like any other teenager her age, they were only sixteen when they met back then, and immediately she got pregnant with her baby boy Brian.

It was a mistake that cost her a lot back then, the trust of her parents and the loss of her childhood moments to be a young mom, a thing she was not ready to be in but for many things in life it what brings Brian to her! and she will never regret again.

"Amy?" Nicole said "Aunt Nicole!" She said back, Nicole saw her standing in the front door with suitcases behind her and with Brian sleeping on her arm, she was not expecting any visitors and especially not Amy, all the way from Pennsylvania to here!

"What an amazing surprise, get inside honey, are you okay?" Nicole opened the door for her and she went in.

She nodded and put Brian on the couch "Other than the hot weather, I'm okay." She smiled at her and held Brian.

"I'm sorry for coming like that, without calling or sending a message." Amy apologized "I need a place to stay in." she paused "and a new place to start from, Austin is the place I think." Amy said nervously.

"Of course Amy, come in! I'm always ready to have some company." she smiled "After my husband passed away in 1965 it has been always me by my own." Amy smiled at her "Sorry for your loss."

"Let me introduce you to my son, Brian," Amy said sitting on the couch next to him, trying not to wake him up.
"What a lovely boy, just like his mother." She smiled "How old is he?" Nicole asked, "He is two years old." Amy smiled back, he was napping after the long way they had.

"It was a long way here right?" Nicole asked, "Yes more than a day and the bus was uncomfortable." Amy said.
"Yes, I remember visiting Pennsylvania ten years ago with my husband, we visited your parents for Christmas." She said.

"I think I remember that visit." Amy said, "Yes, you were just a kid with beautiful long red hair." Nicole smiled and then brushed Brian's hair "He got the beautiful red hair from you."

"Yeah, he did." Amy smiled looking at him "Do you want to move your stuff to the room?" Nicole asked "Sure, thank you very much Aunt Nicole I don't know what I would have done without you." Amy said.
"No worries baby girl, we were all young and we made mistakes, but for you, it will be a new start I'm sure," Nicole said.

"Father?" Christopher knocked on the door before getting into the office room of his father, "Come in kid." Mr. Gregory said.

"You are early today." He said, "Yeah, I checked the farm and I'm going now to the town where a new order is coming." Christoper said.

"What order?" Mr. Gregory asked, raising his glasses to have a look "The bullets." Christoper answered calmly.

"Good, and where it will be stored?" Mr. Gregory asked "One of the good men's farms." Christopher smirked.

They were using the other farms in the town to be stored for them, and if any farm holder decided to tell the police or do anything stupid, Christopher had his ways to makes them change their minds.

"Good kid, you can go now." Mr. Gregory said, he went outside towards his car.

Christopher had a 1970 AMC Rebel car, he was obsessed with cars if it wasn't for his father he would probably work in such a business.

"Martin?" He saw him walking with his horse, "How is Gloom today?" Christopher asked, "Great sir, I'm taking him back to the stable." Martin said.

"Okay, I will wait for you here, don't be late." he paused "The order will get here today."

"Sure sir, I'll be right back." Martin took Gloom the horse and walked him to the stable.

"Brian come here." Amy ran after her son who was playing in the garden "He is a smart kid." Nicole said she was sitting on the chair near the door.

"He is." Amy smiled at her "The weather is nicer now after the sun starts to go down."

"Yes, welcome to Texas." Nicole smiled "I'm planning to get a job." Amy said "Oh? Where?" Nicole asked.

"When the bus stopped we were near a restaurant, I think I will look there tomorrow." Amy said, "I don't recommend that young lady." Nicole suggested, "Why?" She asked.

"Because the owner is one of the bad men of this town." Nicole explained, "If you want my advice, there is a tailoring and embroidery shop just across from the restaurant, most of the young girls in the town like you work there." She paused "And I can take care of Brian while you're at work."

"Thank you, Aunt Nicole, I will look for it tomorrow." She smiled "Come here Brian, let's take a nap."

Amy took a walk with Nicole's dog, she was exploring the place while her son was taking a nap.

The place here was beautiful, there was a quiet river near Nicole's house with a beautiful big waterwheel.

"What a place," Amy whispered and sat there looking at the beautiful cold water running underneath her, she closed her eyes for a moment remembering all the events she went through.

From getting abandoned by her boyfriend and from her parents too, it was not easy for a girl this age to start from the base ground but she promised herself to keep fighting and get the life she deserved for her and her son.

Nicole was her parent's old friend, Amy didn't hesitate and knew that she would help her.

Amy opened her eyes to the sound of the dog barking "What's wrong?" She asked him but she saw nothing around, she took his rope and started walking again to the house, she was still new to this place and didn't want any trouble with anyone.
