"Where are we going?" Amy asked, "I told you it's a secret." Christopher smirked, he could see how nervous and scared she was.
"Don't worry I won't kill you." He laughed when he saw how pale her face was "Yeah right." She laughed nervously "Are we near yet?"
"Maybe." He said, Amy rolled her eyes and looked out of the window "Amy?" He asked.
"Yeah?" She answered."You look really good tonight." He said smiling "You said that twice." She giggled, he laughed too.
"You won't mind right?" She shakes her head "How is your new job?" He asked, Amy looked questioningly at him."How did you know?" Amy asked, "It's a small town." He winked at her "Oh right." she paused "It's good so far and our manager is a good man."
"Great," Christopher said.
"It's better than the last one am I right?" He smirked.
"Stop it, Christopher, it was not my fault." She said, "Oh really?" He asked, the car stopped she looked around and it was not very clear where this place was but she could hear the sound of water."Where are we?" She asked looking around, she saw him getting out of the car and walk towards her side opening the door for her.
"Come." He whispered holding his hand down for her "Okay." She held his hand and jump out of the car walking with him.It was a water dam! "Oh wow!" She said looking at the place "Come here." He pointed at a place near the edge it was lighted up with candles and a blanket on the ground.
"It's called Tom Miller Dam," Christopher said, Amy nodded at him and looked around the place and then at the blanket and the candles."You did this?" Amy asked looking at him "Maybe?" He smiled "It looks amazing." She said.
The water sound was so loud but the place was beautiful even at night "I want to see it when the sun is up too." Amy said, "We can stay here till sunrise." Christopher said."No, I cant." She laughed "I can't leave my son alone."
"Your Aunt is with him." Christopher said, "No it's not right." She tried to change the subject by looking around her.
He got up and went back to his car getting a box from it "What is that?" Amy asked "Our dinner and drinks." He said.Christopher hands her a beer and starts organizing the food "How did you know I like turkey sandwiches?" Amy smiled "I have a feeling I guess." He said.
"If it wasn't for the candles it would be hard to see here." Amy said, "Yeah, people rarely come here that's why it's my secret place." Christopher said and get a sip of his beer.
Amy looked around and let out a smile "What?" He asked, "It's nothing." She said shyly "No, tell me." Christopher insists "It's just" she paused "It was a really hard couple of months for me, I didn't ever think I would get past them." Amy said in a low voice."Why is that?" He asked looking curiously, Amy took a deep breath and then a sip of the beer "You can guess I give birth when I was only a child." She said, Christopher, nodded at her.
"The father was only a teenager too, I trusted the wrong person but I don't regret having my angel." She smiled when she remembered Brian "He is." Christopher agreed.Amy smiled and start telling him her story and how she ended up here in Austin, she was open up about it for the first time since she gave birth to Brian "How old is Brian?" Christopher asked, "He is turning three in January." Amy said.
"You are a brave mother, Believe me." He said, "I'm not, I'm just trying to give him a better life." Amy said.
"And I believe you will." He said, "Now eat your sandwich so we could continue our talk."
"It's delicious." She said after her first bite "Great, you like them." He smiled.Hours went by and they didn't even notice, Christopher talked about his childhood and how much he loves living here in Austin.
"More beer?" Christopher asked, "Yes for me but no for you." She laughed "And why is that?" He asked, "I want to go back home safely." She said.
"But you forgot about something." Christopher smirked "What?" Amy asked, she didn't know what he was talking about."You parked your car near my restaurant." He raised an eyebrow "Oh, no." She laughed opening another bottle "I think we should both walk back home." She laughed "Cheers to this beautiful place, Christopher."
"Where are you going?" Christopher saw her getting up and walked towards the fence "Just looking at this beautiful place." She smiled at him.
Amy took a deep breath and closed her eyes "It's nice to experience a new thing."
"It is." Christopher answered, he walked and stood near her "I lived my whole life in Pennsylvania." she paused "And we didn't leave it ever not even for vacations, so I'm trying to save all this in my memories." She smiled at Christopher.
"Who knows, maybe one day you will travel the world with Brian." He said, "I wish I could!" Amy said excitedly.Christopher smiled at her reaction and pulled her closer to him "I would love to see you in my arms always like that." She looked at the space between them it was too little, she took another step towards him so it was fully closed.
"Really?" She asked and he nodded at her "I want to." His face was close to hers, when he was close enough, Amy closed her eyes, Christopher looked at her face at every little detail she got and then kissed her lips.
