"You what?" Martin was standing with the men he works with, Christopher hired them to do the hard work like storing and transferring their goods.
From what was appearing they are tough and mighty, they just do their job no matter what it cost.
"Sir, she was hard to deal with and we did our job." The man smirked, Martin smacked the table hard.
He was furious, if Christopher knew he will kill them "Get out now and don't do anything until I tell you to." Martin said.

"He is going to kill me," Martin mumbled, the man told him what they did with Amy, and from what he said she was beaten hard.
"Wait." Martin shouted at his man "You go now and remove all of the goods from Nicole's farm without them knowing." He said "But-" The man tried to say "Do what I said, is that clear?" Martin shouted again.
The man nodded at him and closed the door, "What should I do?" It was a dead-end for him, he had no clue.

"Are you okay sweetheart?" Nicole asked, she brought her some soup to warm her self up.
Amy nodded at her and tried to smile "How is Brian?" She asked, "He is okay, he just drunk his bottle and fall asleep in the living room." Nicole smiled.
She moved towards Amy and sit on the bed "Sometimes things go out of our hands here." Nicole said Amy's eyes start watering again.

"We should call the cops." Amy said and Nicole shook her head "It's not that easy if we do that they will easily come back for us again." Nicole explained.
"So we will just sit here and watch them hiding illegal goods at our farm?" Amy said angrily.
"I told you, Amy, it's not easy to live here and get along with them," Nicole said with sadness in her voice.

"I wish my son was here, he would've helped us." she mumbled, "I'll get a nap," Amy said in a low voice.
"Drink your soup first and then take a nap." Nicole smiled at her.

Amy couldn't sleep that night she just held Brian in her arms and cried silently, it was rough for her and too many dark thoughts were running into her head she was scared that they will break into the farm again.
"I'll protect you at any cost." She whispered in her baby's ear.

"Good morning Amy." Nicole said "Why are you up so early? go back to sleep and take the day off you are tired."

"No, I can't do that Aunt, I can't risk losing this job." Amy tried to smile "I'll make you some toast with cheese and tomato I know you love with." Nicole said and went back to the kitchen.
Amy went back to her room, took her towel to get a fresh morning shower while Brian was still asleep.

"Amy." Nicole called before she gets to the car "If you want I can cover your cheek bruises." She said to her, there were three deep purple marks and one cut. "No Aunt, I'm fine they don't hurt anymore." She fakely smiled at her "Mummy, wait for me." Brian ran and hugged her "I'll be back soon." She kissed him and start her car hiding toward the office.

"Oh god, are you okay Amy?" Her boss asked, "Yes I'm okay Mr. Simon, it was an accident." She said, "Gladly you are okay." He said.
Amy went back to her table and start her day by inserting her Aunt's letter for her son Ethan.

"Mr. Rodriguez?" Mr. Simon said on the phone "Oh Simon?" Christopher answered "Sorry for bothering you, but it's emergent." He said, "Yeah sure, what's going on?" Christopher asked he had a feeling that there was something wrong with Amy.

"It's Ms. Amy." Simon said, "Is she okay?" Christopher asked worriedly "I'm not sure, she came today and there were bruises on her face, she said it was an accident." Mr. Simon said.

Christopher took a deep breath and closed his eyes "An accident?" He asked, "That's what she said." Simon answered.
"Simon go and tell her to go back home now to get rest, I want to see her but I don't want her to know that I get her this job, is that clear?" Christopher said.

"Sure, Mr. Rodriguez." Simon went to her table and told her exactly what Christopher said to him.
"But I'm fine Mr. Simon." Amy said to her boss "I know and we don't have too much to do here, I'll close after you and the others leave," He said with a smile, she nodded at him and get her bag and stuff ready.

She walked toward where she parked her car this morning, her head was down she was still in a bad mood since yesterday when she was closer to her car she looked up and saw a familiar car parking near hers.

"Amy?" She saw Christopher running towards her, "What's wrong?" He cupped her face with his hands "Who the hell did this?" It was obvious it was not an accident, he saw tears gathering in her eyes. "I'm okay." She said trying to save the situation.

"No, you're not." He said with an angry voice, she closed her eyes and took a deep breath, he saw how she was holding up "Amy, tell me" he paused "You can trust me, I promise." He whispered to her.

"I'm scared." She said, "I don't want to get you or my family in any trouble." Amy whispered this time she couldn't hold her tears anymore.

"No, please don't cry." He hugged her tighter to his chest, allowing her to cry "Just say who did this to you and I'll let them beg you for forgiveness I promise." He said to her again and kissed her forehead.

When she told him the whole story, Christopher's eyes were burning with fire she could see it, it was like he knows exactly what she was talking about.
"And how does he look like?" Christopher asked with a rough tone, she told him every detail she remembered from yesterday.
He took a deep breath and said "Go home now and I'll come to see you again." He went back to his car and start driving really fast away from her.
